How can I keep my car clean?
I am getting upset about the fact that my car always gets dirty within 2 or 3 days after I wash it. I know whyit happens, but I am getting sick of it. It has to do with living on the edge of a desert, and the fact that my car has to sleep outside. Every night, the temperature gets low enough to form dew on the car, and then when the sun comes up and the wind picks up, the dust and sand gets blown and sticks to the dew. After a couple of nights of repeating the water and dust cycle, I end up with dried-on water marks mixed with dirt. I spent 4 hours washing my car on Wednesday, my day off, and now it looks awful already. The problem is especially bad on the glass roof, where it looks like the dirt is radiating outwards and downwards from a central point on top of the roof.
It's annoying me a lot because the tC is such a hot car. I had the same problem with my last car, but I didn't care as much. It's also worse with the tC because of the glass roof. I guess I am looking for suggestions on how to prevent the problem. Is there some kind of magic formula that I can put on the roof glass to make dirt slide right off? I also have the problem on flat surfaces like the hood and trunk, so I am wondering if there is a decent brand of wax that will help with this. One solution has always been to quickly hose the dirt off the roof, but the water itself leaves nasty stains on the car when it dries.

kinda the disadvantage of owning a dark vehicle..
hmm.. nice coat of wax will help it clean off easier.. and rain-x on the glass will do the same.
products such as the mr. clean auto dry thing will help as when you rinse the car, no waterspots should be formed.

Mr. Clean works, but it's also pretty harsh on your paint. It strips wax as well.
Buy the most slippery wax you can find. The most slippery wax I have came across is the Klasse twins. I buy them on www.properautocare.com
Keep in mind that a lot of wax with high silicone content actually attracts dust.

well, there are certain wax that contains silicone in there. A good example is the first generation WAUD, the "Dupont teflon" products.... etc. Use those wax, not drive your car for a few days, you will see that it gathers more dust than if you use something that doens't contain silicone.

Any suggestions on how to remove a stain caused by a dead bug which was given the opportunity to bake in the sun? I got rid of the bug when I washed the car two days ago, but the stain remains. I know I should've eliminated the bug when I first saw it, but I stupidly left it there for a while.
