I wouldn't do that "take out the cat with a larger piping" It's still going to be a bottle neck effect. If you are planning on doing your whole exhaust in the long term, get a REAL midpipe, ask a exhaust shop to custom fab it for you. Don't get that fake sht

When you buy an aftermarket exhaust for a tc it does not come with a secondary cat, so you will pass emissions the same way they do.

They tend to target SUV's and trucks though because they're easier to get under. Does this mean lowering springs and airbags count as a theft deterrent for insurance discounts?

you can pass emissions with out the cat.
lol imagine if you hopped in your car ready to take off and you start it up and someone stole your cat.. you'd be like wtf when you ride is farting out of control and you dont know why..

I don't understand what YOU are talking about. Can you please restate it?

I never said that I replaced the cat with larger tubing. I replaced it with the same size tubing. Aftermarket midpipes get their power the same exact way as I got mine, they delete the cat. There is no need to run larger diameter tubing unless you decide to go turbo.
About the stealing of cats (that sounds funny ) I read the same thing somewhere. That would suck if it happened to someone. I heard you can get like $100 for them.

thanks guys... sry im new at this thread... i just knew that replacing the exhast system already took out my second cat according to a guy above me, and i dint know if an aftermarket midpipe would ruin my magnaflow system at all, and also how much would a good quality midpipe cost?

Is your Magnaflow system a cat back or an axle back? If it's a cat back system then you already have a mid pipe. Did your exhaust have a muffler piece then another pipe between then spipe and that muffler?
