How do you powerslide the tC?

Drax... X2 on your comment. def. closed course only and get a beater rwd to practice with unless you're on someone else's dime specifically to learn to drift.

go up to about 100+ and pull the ebrake as hard as you can and turn the wheel as hard as you can, should have an awesome result!!!

^^^ lmao... shame on you... that comment was just wrong on so many levels

I got a laugh out of this thread. Especially when the OP wasn't dissuaded by the video of the guy almost eating a curb.
but seriously, you just kicked everyone's insurance up a notch. BAM!!

LOL at the OP.. you should research drifting techniques before you just attempt them or ask.
.... you can drift a FF though.. just not using certain techniques...
Obvious kind you can NOT do is a clutch kick - power over..... but you can do a feint drift. you have to have neutral weight distribution (I.E. larger rear sway bar) .
this involves taking a corner to quickly, late heavy braking, release as you enter the turn while down shifting at the same time. back end will break free and you'll have to counter steer (hope your front tires are good!)
this can lead you to a feint drift where you use the energy from the initial drift. which is extremely difficult in a FF layout.
it is also hard to keep a decent speed.
Do not practice or try on a public road. sign up for auto X and you can try doing the feint technique safely. although your times will be really slow it is fun
EDIT: The Feint technique is also known as lift-off oversteer and the scandinavian flick (iirc)

^^i don't know what is worse the OP or the fact that you actually tried to answer his retarded question in a logical manner.

I just put a sway bar in my tC and I'm just wondering if power sliding a tC is hard. I've been looking at videos on youtube of people doing it, so it's possible.
I've read that you can just turn into the corner hard and lose traction, or you can actually use the handbrake to lose traction. Which way is better?

You are an idiot. Your idea is dumb. You are why my insurance sucks *****. Your are why Im starting to hate my car. You are why the tC is getting a bad name. You can't drift fwd, trade in your FF movies and move on.
