How long do you plan on owning?

I plan on enjoying mine for a while. 3 years, 2 months and counting. It's paid for and the mileage is decent. No point in signing up for another loan when all my transportation needs are presently met

Mines is paid off. 3 years and 9 months old with 43,000 miles. But I am giving it to my mom so that I can either change to a manual or upgrade. :/ Going to miss it, but it happens.

Wish mine was paid off but all in due time!!! I guess I will be keeping mine for at least another 5-7 years. I have plenty of mods left to do so I can enjoy for a long time. Only 5500 miles! Sweet! Good car so far, just like my xA b/f it was totaled!

its interesting to here everyone wanting to keep it, im in the same boat
i bougth the car knowing i wanted to drive it for a very long time. I knew it was going to be reliable and cheap. I think its rather stupid to go in a plop 40k down on a car. For what it gave us the Tc was a great deal. Sure i wish we have more power and some little things were better but hey it gets the job done. With the proper mods it still looks good. Also once paid off if we want something quicker we can only pick up a a beater (E30 or old supra mk3 or miata) and for a couple grand and mod that

Right now, I'm planning on paying it off and keeping it for a daily driver.
I'll might pick up an s2k so i can beat the hell out of it, then once that goes to the junkyard. maybe an sti would be nice. But, who knows I switch cars like underwear.
Bad enough I have the TC, Jetta, and 2 bikes. sigh

7 Years. I think they hire 1 driver off the street for every 10 they hire internally. And yes it's all seniority based. It make take longer now because of the economy, and because the driving test might be done with an automatic package car. Before a lot of people who tried out for a driving position used to fail because they couldn't drive manual. More specifically they would fail the hill start part of the test.
