I paid nearly 25K for mine. That includes the car itself, floormats, security systems (have 2 in place), GAP protection, extended warranty, registration for 4 years, tax (7%), and the left over amount on my other loan (3500).

I still owe around 24K now @ 7.1% rate. Payments per month are around $400 or so - insurance is insane as well for me, around $320 per month. It should come down some as soon as I turn 25 and some ins points will come off too (hopefully).

Word of advice to all the parents: don't let your son/daughter get a mustang gt at 22

Ok folks, I paid $20,200 after tax and title which is 8.25% sales tax in my hometown parish of Louisiana for a brand new BSP 2007 automatic tC. No APR or anything like that cause I paid for the car in full (didn't want to pay interest). I basically had no mods on the car when I bought it except for the rear pedestal spoiler. Afterwards, I bought and installed the following items by myself ;)

Injen Cold Air Intake (installed it as Short Ram for now) = $285 (free shipping)
TRD Rear Sway Bar = $110 (with shipping at a sale price)

Overall paying much less than I would if I bought those at the dealer!

$18,322 out the door, 5-speed, NO options what so ever not even floor mats, includes 6% sales tax.

my APR is 6.9%, i financed 13,000 so my payments are just under $260 a month. I owe less than 9 grand, i've had the car for 16 months now and it's at 30k miles.

don't worry about what you paid, its done, you can't change it.

Also, you said you paid $24k OTD or with interest?

OTD (out the door) is the total price of the car with tax, dealer fees, etc. before interest. Different years will have different prices too.
I understand that it is all said and done, but if Scions are supposed to be all pure priced it is weak that some people are paying a lot more than what others are paying. Like I said, I got a ton of stuff on mine and paid nearly the same she did and mine is an 08 and we here in CA have a slightly higher tax rate and my apr was higher too.

If I found out I paid more than what I would have paid with the "pure pricing" I would at least register a complaint with Scion Corporate, that way future buyers don't get the same treatment (and who knows, they may even give you something free, but doubtful).

Huh I think that is a pretty damn good deal, I paid 19k but with a 05 civic trade in value of 12k it was really 7k. The only thing that came with my car was prem audio system, and tinted window that I got extra for 200. I'd be all over that if it came with OEM lip kit and a spoiler for that price!

20,100 OTD w/ lip kit and springs, 7% tax, registration, etch..etc.

I went over everything I paid for twice to make sure nothing was added.

Maybe your apr is really high? Still seems a bit on the high side...what is your tax % there? I got a bunch of extra stuff + financing at a 7.99 apr, only like 24-25k out the door.
My APR is 7.12% and my tax is 6.5%.
That is odd, I had a bunch more extra stuff (not cheap either) and with a higher tax and apr rate I still paid slightly over what you did. You still have your original documents, see what it all breaks down to?
Alright, I got my documents. This is how it breaks down:
My 2007 tC: 17885.58
Floor mats: 145 (I should have purchased online instead! >.<)
Service/handling fee: 698.50
Sales tax: 1238
Service agreement: 1351
Total cash price: 21318.08

Document stamps: 44.10
Official fee: 202
Electronic filing fee: 24
Total purchase: 21588.18

Down payment: 9000
Amount to finance: 12588.18
APR: 7.12%
Finance charge: 2410.02
Total payments: 14998.20
Total sale price: 23998.20

I feel as if I've been bitten in the ___?

1351 for service agreement? Is that the pre-paid service plan?

No I don't think you did, I didn't factor in my finance charge to the price. For comparison:

2008 Manual tC: 17620.00
Accessories: 2471.00 (Scion Security, Pedestal Spoiler, TRD Exhaust, TYC Taillights, TRD Short Shifter, TRD Front Strut Tie Bar, and Scion Sport Pedals)

Rest of fees (Gap Coverage, Paint/Interior Protection, Document Preparation Fee, Optional DMV Electronic Filing Fee, Service Contract): 3268.00

Sales Tax: 1630.68

License/Registration/CA Tire Fees: 208.75

Total: 25198.43

Down payment: 3500
Amount to finance: 21698.43
APR: 7.99
Finance charge: 4781.37

Total cost of car including the finance charge: 29979.80

I guess I don't factor that in, since it isn't something I remember to do lol.
