i orderd mine today for 12,825.00 + tax title and lic. but i got a vendor price... i dont think you can really get a deal just off the street cuz it "pure price" kinda deal. Im sure you can get a deal on the extra's. You might want to get the base and then get the extras on the net or something....

It's pure pricing. go to the scion.com website and configure your tC. That is the price you will pay minus taxes and tags. i got mine with auto, floor mats(145), and underdash lights(250). 17,660 before T and T. Out the door with keys in hand 18,156. With gap coverage it's 333.66 a month

Vendor must mean he's got a dealer in his back pocket.

im in the IT dept for a company that sells Furniture to toyota... and we do design and installs of it... so anyways we get whats called a vendor price so i just talked to the gal who works on the toyota acct she got me the info and wut dealer to go to and well i went got the car ordered and lets just say that when a 20 year old gets a tc 12k-ish and the dealer dosent make crap their not happy but o well their was ALOT of paperwork cuz of the vendor discount... MSRP is 16k even for the 5spd vendor price is 12100 + fun stuff + tax ect... and yes its a Tc for 12,825.00

and NO i didnt mean i got an Xa - your right im not gettin the price that dealers buy the car at im gettin the price at invoice. ie what toyota spends to make the car... ( kinda )

This is a rude question...
It's like asking someone how much money they make or your new cell mate what he did to get in there!

no, its not rude at all. In fact, its a great question to ask. This lets everyone know about the price level they should expect to pay. This is to ensure they aren't getting any type of runaround, or ripped off (regardless of the pure price deal)

A rude question would be how much down payment did they put. And that isnt even bad, unless you're poor and take offense to stuff like that.

I paid ~19000 out the door.

It's not that I take offense... or that it's an income issue. it's a tact issue.

If you were to give someone an idea about what to expect... you should list your options, tax and license fees, etc.

Or maybe this is just a place where you all are trying to show up one another? I dunno, don't care... Paid under $20K like Everyone else.

What should someone expect to pay?
between $16k and $20K

Sorry about the quote. I read up on it a little lol.

Went in today to test drive the car. LOVED IT! Very nice salesperson. The no deal policy kinda sucks. Im going to try to get free destination and delivery or something. I want to get a deal on it! LOL! They didnt give me enough money for my car so I couldnt do the deal so I have to sell it to a private party. So my car (WRX) will be up for sale soon!
