Hi, how quiet is a magnaflow with resinator? Are there any other parts which can be added to quiet it even further?

It's pretty quiet the way it is. Do you have the catback system :?:

 

I have a Magnaflow w/ a resonated tip, and its only a tad bit louder than the Tanabe I had on there. Since the muffler is located more so underneath the body, I hear it a bit more when its warming up in the morning.

But then again, I'm not an expert on muffflers, exhausts, or Scions, and I don't know anything.

 

It also depends if you have a header, CAI, and if you are an automatic scion or a manual. What set-up did you want to install on your ride? We can help you figure it out.

 

The next chance I get, I'll get sound readings for you at different RPMs. I have the Magnaflow mufler and resonated tip.

Of course the readings will not be under load, and should not be construed to be accurate as I have no knowledge of mufflers, exhaust sytems, or for that matter, Scions in general.

 

still need to know what magnaflow muffler you are talking about. Do you have a part number I could get from you?

 

Remember, the bigger the tip, the louder it gets. If you don't want anything that loud, make sure it has a silencer, or at least a tip that isn't any bigger than say 2.25 inches in diameter.

 

silemncer. and if it doesnt have a silencer you can buy a universal silencer and then drill a hole in yer tip so that you can use the nut and bolt for the silencer
