I fixed the throttle delay for free. Super easy fix *PIX*
All i did was place a little peice of rubber with some double sided sticky tape onto the already existing plastic pedal stop. so what it does is push the pedal down a tad bit.
Shifting is much nice and smoother. Its dark out so i will wait until tomorrow to take some pics.
But honestly its really simple, just push the pedal all the way down and put your hand towards the top/back of the pedal bracket that attaches to the firewall (above the spring) and there is a little plastic pedal stop. Its not adjusted to hold the pedal foward/down far enough. by putting something back there it will shim the pedal to avoid that small dead spot. You only need something about 1/8" thick.
I hope that made sense..........
Ok, I tried a few time to get some pics but this is the only one that turned out decent. I actually took out my pedal to get this pic. And while it was out I sorta changed how I did the mod. I just used 2 clear rubber feet (they are the same at every store that carries them) and stacked them. I then put them at the very top of the pedal. now I just barely touch the pedal and ive got instant throttle. I also took a very short vid.

it is. however the pedal from the factory is not positioned to activate the potentiomenter right when you press the pedal so all this does is postion it to activate the "pot" with imediate pressure. similar to "taking out the slack" on a cable controlled throttle.
The delay is not the computer being slow to process the information, its just that the pedal was not activating the "pot" right away. trust me this little mod works.

this pretty much confirms what I have been saying. The delay on this car (At least mine) is the same or less than most mechanical link throttles I have ever driven (I have NEVER driven a car without some delay). All systems have some play in them, and part of the delay is within the fuel injection system. I think people tend to "notice" it more on this car once they find out it is throttle by wire. But, for those that it bothers, this seems to be a good fix. Good job harmonic!
