Mazdas are a good car. we had a mazda 3 as our loaner car til our tc went thru the shop. it was a four cylinder but it ran good and i liked it. but its big!! i had trouble seeing over its dumbo mirrors. lol

I think about what I would purchase if something happened to my car, and to be honest I really don't know. There are very few cars in the 20-30k range that don't look horrible, come in 2 doors, and sport a real manual gearbox. My list looks something like this:
Subaru Impreza WRX (possibly STI at the right price).
Hyundai Genesis Coupe 4cyl Turbo
Nissan 370z
Infiniti G37 Coupe
I've had my eye on an Audi S5 coupe for a while. But now we're talking 50-60k, which is kind of ridiculous for transportation IMO.
If I was looking for fuel economy, I'd probably get a Fiat 500, Toyota Yaris, Scion iQ (no stick-shift, ____ you toyota), or a hybrid Civic.

i would prob get a genesis too if i was in the market for a car right now. Though i hear they still have kinks to work out
and for the people recommending the Mazda i still have that on the list. They arent bad im just not crazy about how they look (smiley face)
