Here in GA tag renewal is done in whatever month your birthday is in. So it doesn't matter when you get your car.

oh and just a kind FYI to mr. Kansas.... you might want to hold on to your stock header... I have. Kansas may not have inspections now....but if that changes or if you move to a state that requires them... you will be thankful you kept it to toss it on just long enough to pass inspection b/c that is where the primary CAT is at.

your cents is welcome, that was my original plan of action, keeping the stock headers. But then my parents threw a wrench into the plan saying that i might have to switch to Missouri, which requires inspections, but then my friend was like, I can do the inspection!

Here's another 2 cents.... and everyone can take that to the bank. When it comes to CAT's on modern vehicles... they actually do more harm to the environment than good. CATs were designed back in the 70's when there was only one grade of gasoline fuel, and it was leaded. CATs were developed to burn the harmful lead more completely before it was released into the atmosphere. Now that we have more complex multi-grade fuels and none contain any lead aditives.... the CAT is nothing but a wet dream for tree huggers thinking they are helping the environment. When in reality.... using unleaded fuels with a CAT actually forces your car to burn more fuel than necessary. So if you have a racing header... YOU'RE doing more for the earth & getting more HP. Its a win win... those dorks! :D

Momo is like every 2 years I believe...or maybe 1 but I heard consequences of giving out 'improper' inspection will be extremely painful to their business/shop nowadays since everyone is getting fake ones. Keep registering your license plate in KS and you won't have to worry...since you are in college they can make an exceptions.

as far as the emissions skicker goes, that's up to the county you live in...i know i live in cumberland county so emissions testing is required, franklin county *less than a mile from where i live* doesn't require it. so you may want to find out for sure from your local auto shops...they should def. know.
...
and i also know how you feel about being due for inspection already...i'm due in october....
