Hi guys/gals...

Has anyone done a how-to on the auto dimming mirror for the tC? I have the regular stuff... want to get the auto dimming.

I don't have the side curtain air bag... (FYI).

Now now... don't tell me to do a search, I have done so and this search feature is plan ____.... I get results that aren't even relevant. So if your intention is to help then great if not then sit silently.

Plus since I did the post might as well ask other: where can I get touch up paint for the SUPER WHITE tC?

Nope, I don't think anyone has done a How-To tutorial on the auto dimming mirror. I'm sure if you buy it from a toyota parts site, they'll include the instructions on how to install it. My guess is you have to take the existing mirror off, put the new one on, pop open the headliner and one of the interior A pillars and feed the auto dimming mirror's wires...then tap them into a power wire or something...*shrug*

I was thinking of getting the auto dimming mirror for my xA. But after driving in vehicles that have an auto dimmer mirror system that also dim the side mirrors, it didn't seem worth it.

 

I was hoping all the wires would be there in the headliner already... *hehe* Yeah... dimming side mirrors would me nice too.

I would really like the compass integrated too... but oh well.
