An R32 does not have a VR6.
An R32 is not a Jetta, it is a Golf.

I don't have any experiences with the VR6 Jettas, but being that it's a Mk4, it probably has problems aplenty. The Mk5s are significantly better when it comes to reliability.

I recently made a quick pull on a tC on the highway. It didn't lose as bad as I thought it would (parasitic drag from awd is a _____). I don't think you'd have a problem keeping up with a VR6.

However, somebody said they roasted their friends modded 1.8T. LOL right. What did their mods consist of, flame stickers? A properly modded 1.8T (chip, test pipe and exhaust) would dust a tC. I'm pretty sure they'd dust a tC stock.

my ex girlfriend had a jetta vr6. and tc's are definately easier to mod than any volkswagen.

 

you've got to remember though; it all boils down to the driver. a faster car on paper doesn't always pull the win. missing gears or shifting at the a not so optimal time can get the faster car a lost quickly; esp. if the other driver is on point with theirs.

What are you talking about?? The R32 comes ONLY with a VR6 motor. I have a buddy who is a VW fan boy, the only reason he got the R32 oppose to a GTI if because its a VR6. But yes the R32 is most def a Golf/Rabbit.

The Jetta VR6 motor is a 2.8L V6, the R32 is a 3.2L V6. Therefore, it's not the same engine.

They both have VR6 motors, but they're not the same motors.

And to the mod thing, everyone knows the benefit to German engineering is bashing your knuckles when you do anything because the fools didn't leave any room for things called hands.
