I wish I could fit those on the tC. Oh well just another reason to get a RWD car.

I want to trade my wheels for a Cressida (or other RWD Toyota/Lexus) straight up. I won't be satisfied until I get one.

The mk3 Supra has also been growing on me.

And lately Corollas...

And of course the SC...

I like my tC and all, but it just doesn't have the character that these cars do. Partly because it's still too new.

Any of those cars... Really. I love the tc, but like you said it lacks the character and the panache those cars hold. My vote is for a corolla. I dunno if i like such small wheels like that one has, but I just love the sound of them, with the ITBs and all. Cressy's are cool too cause they're so unassuming... You could have a race ready 1jz/2jz/sr20 in there and no one would notice.
Found out the other day too that a coworker traded his 90-something civic coupe with no engine and just some jdm lights/lip etc to some idiot for an SC with equips. The other guy didnt even know that equips were a nice wheel. Too bad the guy got fired or else I would take pictures of his car.

I like the Corolla a lot, but with the "drift tax" I'll pay more than it's really worth. The Cressida would be the cheapest option and like you said it can be made into a real sleeper.

I'm hoping I'll be able to find someone who doesn't know what they have like your coworker did. I'm pretty sure I'm going through with it. The wheels will be posted up after this weekend.

Mine would have to look damn near identical to the one I posted for me to choose it over the Cressida or Supra. The SC wins hands down but finding one in decent condition for sub 2k is rare.

I used to not like them but the square lines of the design are starting to appeal to me.

Lol they've been in the mail since Tuesday. I just wish they'd hurry up and get here. I'm about to go seal the other 3 wheels now.

Probably a 1J or 2J. But that would be way down the line.

i love the mk3 supra but i heard they have engine issues (blown head gaskets)

i miss my sc. I owned a SC400 with 50k miles before i go the Tc. I hda to dump it because it just neeed too much exterior work to get it where i wanted it. way too much for a 91. (i wanted to do the 97+ kit on it but that would have been in the 1k+ range. plus i hated the color and tan interior)

Believe me I'm trying lol. They've all had the first coat of silicone put on and that takes 24 hours to cure. Then I have to do the second coat and wait another 24. Then I can put the tires on and get the alignment done if I need one. Also they are up for trade/sale so spread the word if you know someone that wants some wheels.

Yeah I read the gaskets on the 7MGTE go at around 80k on a stock motor.

Your SC looked to be in great shape from the pic. With that low mileage I would have held on to it. The decent ones around here go for 2k plus and the really nice ones for 4k or so.

it was a great car but getting it up to snuff would have been a lot of money

Yeah cars are money pits but you gotta love em. Sometimes I wonder why it is we do what we do.

I got my adapters today. For some reason I was under the impression that they were smaller than what they are. At least they always look that way in pics lol.

Gotta go get the tires mounted in the morning. Then doing a test fit to see if I need to put the camber bolts on. Then possibly driving back to the tire shop to get my rear camber adjusted. Hopefully I won't have to. And finally off to Mainstream for SF Grillin 'n' Chillin.
