Major setback with the wheels. Didn't realize I used expired sealant and it didn't cure which led to leaks. So I put them up for sale after getting fed up with them. They may have a new home soon. I'll know in a couple of weeks.
In other news I hit 100k miles last week. Decided it was a good time to clean the bay.
Averaging 390-400 miles per tank (~28mpg). How? I don't know. Only engine mods are a K&N drop in filter and a Tsudo midpipe. Maybe I should do some other stuff since my warranty is long gone anyway lol. A wire tuck would be nice. After seeing one complete it makes you realize how cluttered our engine bay really is.

Lol for the tires? I got you if I sell them. I may keep them since they're an ideal size.
I used some stuff called Orange Lightning/Blast or something like that. You can find it at Walmart. It's just citrus degreaser. When I clean it I just warm the engine a little, not to OT. Then cover the battery and alternator with plastic bags. Then mist some water in the bay. Next I spray the degreaser on and let it sit for a minute or two. Then I use a soft bristled brush to scrub the dirt off. After that I hose it off with a generous stream of water but not a jet (I have a fire hose style nozzle). If it's really dirty I repeat the cleaning steps. After the final rinse I start the car and let it idle for a minute to make sure I didn't fry anything lol. But again don't let it get to OT or the water will dry. Finally I finish it off the plastic parts with some Meguiar's Natural Shine.

Thanks. I was just wondering because I was scared to put water in my engine bay. How many times have you washed your engine bay? Everything still running fine? How's you get the intake pipe so clean? Mine's a mess... LOL

I think this was the 4th time I've cleaned it. I do it once a year after pollen season. It's never really been that dirty. If it ever got like this I think my head would explode lol.
If it looks something like that then it's going to take some scrubbing and multiple applications of the degreaser.

^Yep. I'd recommend doing it before driving anywhere for the day. You don't want the engine hot or the cleaner will just bake on. I just let the engine run long enough to get it off of "cold" so it will loosen the dirt slightly.

I'm surprised at how clean mine is compared to the last pic posted above. 2 years I haven't exactly cleaned the engine bay just maybe dusting it with a rag ever so rarely(maybe like 3 times total), guess the air diversion panel is helping. Offer any engine detail services Jon? lol

I think it depends on what part of the country you live in. DTRUONG is in Arizona so that would explain the dirt. Lol it would be nice to make some money but it's too much of a liability especially with older cars.
