just totalled my car......i think. HELP MEEEEE
ok i just got into an accident on the freeway. i rear ended a semi-truck and that bastard didnt even bother to stop. he lane cutted me, i had no time to react was a little drowsy but not falling asleep. i hit the brakes and not enough time to react i hit the trucks back.
ill post up pics tommorow. help me judge on how much it will cost and if its totalled or not. my legs are all bruised up air bags are deployed (both). hit my face on the steering wheel a little bit but im fine.
im still paying off the car. so would it be better if i fix and still pay it off or salvage it and buy a 240sx for really cheap.

That sucks! Airbags are not cheap, and if you hit hard enough to make the airbags go off it may be totalled depening on the front end/frame damage. Get us those pics and it will be easier to determine. Also, the 240sx would be a nice transition too. My first 2 cars were 240's, but I knew I would eventually need to buy new so I got the tC. Good luck, let us know how everything turns out.

"Totaled" does mean a car can't be or shouldn't be fixed. It just means your insurance company isn't going to pay for it. It still might be worth fixing (at your cost).
I had a 1983 Mercedes 300D that got "totaled" by a hit & run driver. The car had well over 300,000 miles on it and the damage estimate was $8,500. Insurance payed me over $10,000 due to lost work, etc... so I had the car fixed up. That car is still on the road with over 550,000 miles on it.

eff man....hopefully its not totalled. cuz from what i remember the front grill was pushed in, the hood was bent a little, and the front bumper was still in tact but was sagging a little and headlights are cracked.
my car is at the tow place at the moment but once i get to it ill take some pics and post it online. it had 54,000miles on the car.

With just the hood, lights, bumper and airbags, you're already looking at $4-5,000 worth of damage. And that's not even including all the things damaged behind the bumper/under the hood. The car is only worth about $9-10,000, so from the sounds of it, it's most likely going to be totaled. Time to swap your stock parts back onto the car real quick and make some extra money.

i would say totaled. tCs don't hold up well in accidents. if your air bags deployed and you were on the interstate... i'd say totaled. be prepared for your insurance rate to go up. a semi cut me off and my car was totaled. no witnesses so we were both at fault for our own damages. i'm paying 225 a month for MINIMUM lol

so he drove off right after he hit you? Any who it might not be 100% your fault especially if he cut you off. I know that usually when you rear end someone its your fault because you either were tailgating or werent paying attention. You got to give space especially between a huge semi. If you have full covered on allstate..I believe they allow you a one time accident pass which doesnt raise your rates.

Are you sure the semi actually cut you off or could he have been changing lanes and you were too tired to realize what he was doing?
Either way that sucks big time. In Cali I would have to say if you rear end someone and have no witnesses, you are screwed. :?
