G/L with the 3000. The only Mitsu I would EVER think about is a Evo. Then I think about the price tag and would choose the 350 or the G. HAHA.

But yeah G/L, hope you enjoy.

The Evo is on a different plateau of performance, in my opinion. But i'd still have a hard as hell time picking between a G37 and an EVO X. The Z loses because of two seats.

If I were to EVER get rid of my tC, it would be for only one thing... a 300zx.

But a VR4 ain't bad, either.

^^^the twin turbo 300zx's are awesome, a buddy of mine has a nice red one, man they are powerful...

one of my other buddy's bought a 3000gt, sold it 2 months later because of many things....

they are not cheap to work on, and the older mitsubishi motors have some real problems....

good luck, lets hope you have better luck than i did with mitsubishi...

IMO i would keep the car that is 12 years newer....

I honestly wouldn't know cause I've never drove one. But I can't see paying that amount for a 4cyl, regardless of performance, and oh yeah it's a Mitsu. I'd glady take it if given to me, but wouldn't spend my money on it. And I'd sell it after it's first unplanned trip to the shop. As far as the Z losing, in my book I don't have anyone so I can be greedy. :D

Yeah, I know alot of people say they have to fix alot of stuff on the 3000gt's and for the most part that's true, but I love working on cars, so this is a good thing for me.
I have had the Tc since September, when I traded in my 05 350z because of the two seater and I wanted a car with more room. Well now I miss the power, so I am going for power and room, and still having money left over. After selling my TC and getting the VR4, I will have anywhere from 8-10K left over.

Well, I wish you luck either way staindone. You've picked one of the better cars of the lot performance wise, although it may be a bit heavy.

yeah, this car was pretty much an all around failure for mitsubishi. too heavy, too expensive and utterly umimpressive as far performance and handling went. yeah, they looked kinda cool. and dodge sold a few as the dodge stealth. but this car isn't a good transition from the tc. mitsubishi doesn't have the build quality of toyota, not today, and it was even far worst in the 90's when these things were built. only mitsu i would consider is a lancer evolution, fto, or even a starion (chrysler conquest).

but there are reasons why the 3000gt isn't that popular.

yeah, it is all fine and dandy to love working on your car and everything, but what do you like better, planning to work on your tc over the weekend to modify it, or having to drop everything at the most inconvenient time to fix your ride on the night you have a date with a sure thing? not cool. seriously, stick with the newer reputible, more reliable car. the 3000gt was gawd awful attempt at mimicing the nissan skyline. heavy, unrelaible, and underperforming. zack from the night kids would be crashing alot more and losing must earlier if he drove one of these on the mountain pass.

That's kind of an extreme, really. Most likely that won't happen. Seriously, the worst possible time, at the worst possible place, kind of stuff? Let's be realistic, it ain't that bad of a car...

Well, they aren't in production yet, but the current version already outperforms the last Evo, so I can only imagine how beastly this thing is going to be (I've driven my friends '03, so I think that's an Evo VII?). The engine is lighter and better, too. Plus, who doesn't love da blow-off? And yes, I know this car will be a maintainance _____, but by the time I plan to own one of these, I won't really care too much.

i know that is the extreme, but what could be worst than missing out on a chance to get laid because your car broke down? i just wanted to paint the worst case scenario. my tc has been there, not like my PITA ford explorer the pinnacle of american engineering.
