Nope. 17's with some seriously good tires. Good enough that Mr. Enzo found them worthy for his cars and choose them for production F40's. :D

They were great tires, but I was not about to spend $1500 on replacing them. So I went with a cheap tires, that yields awesome performance and life. YAY! Federals.

If you don't want to get new tires every year or two, look for tires with a higher tread wear rating. 95% of the time you don't need the super cool sounding cheap tires, because they wear out way too fast. If you invest in a decent tire (Bridgestone, goodyear, Michelin) you'l replace them far less. Brands like Kumho, Falken, etc ("performance tires") will wear out way too fast, and most of the time you won't see the "benefit" of running them.

I only got about 35k out of my stock tires. I have moved on to the Nitto Motivo tires and so far they are awesome. They stick just as good as some of the performance tires but in rain they far procede any tire I have ever had. I got them because I haven't done anything crazy to my car yet so grip wasn't a major concern and I needed something that would last a while and do good in the rain/snow. So far I haven't gotten them to break loose in a corner like I did the factory tires so I am extremely happy. (oh and they are SO much quieter than the stockies)

Oh an I also got a smoking deal on them. 400 mounted and balanced. Good to know people!! (mounting and balance was free and I have a hook up at discount tire)

Discount Tire sucks at life. I had to get two of my Work VS-XXs refinished and one Rays G-Games refinished... Oh, and they lost my Rays lug nut key and my Work valve stem cap. This was on three separate occasions. I will never go there again. I should have stopped going after the first trip.

I have the Hankooks on my stock wheels for winter, been on for 2 winters and they look brand new still, good tire IMO, just dont drive like a jacka55 in the snow.

You should get into the habbit of checking yout tire pressure weekly too.

Oh I didn't get them installed at discount. I ordered them online and had them installed at a seperate shop.

I can't speak for the shop themselves I just have a corperate account through them.

If you feel as if your tires are not lasting, get an alignment... Simple as that.

On my 2nd set for 2012.

just fyi...there are many other factors that could cause excessive tire wear other than a bad alignment

I use the factory Bridgestone Turanzas in the rear and 225 mm width Falken RT-615ks in the front. Falkens stick well even in water and last about as long as the Bridgestones.

Once you learn how to use an air hose... Your tires will last longer.

Finally got the tires put on this past Saturday. Found out the tread was bad only on the fronts and he offered me to keep the back tires. After he took the rims off though he saw the belts in all 4 tires had been destroyed which is why the wear of the tires was so bad.

Told me that the tires were good but they weren't maintained properly. Got around 18,000 miles from them overall. Oh well.

Yeah I check everytime I wash my car, once a week. Every once in a while I'll go on two weeks. Doesn't matter whether I use outside air or nitrogen from work.
