So, I took my front license plate frame off and stuck the plate in the windshield and was wondering what to put in the holes the dealer drilled.

I've seen/heard people talking about a little plug or screw with a cap on it that is the same color of the car (or something I could paint to match).

Anyone have any links or any information on where to get these or how to make them?

What state do you live in? Are you supposed to have a front plate, and if so, why would you want it in your windshield? I live in PA, so my car wasn't drilled for a front plate (thank GOD).

i live in TX. Yes i have to have a front (facing) license plate. I dont like it on the bumper. So, I put it inside the car on the dash.

Now, anyone know where to find/how to make (what to use) to plug the nasty holes in the bumper?

You know what, I just tried and can't seem to find it. I looked under maint and car care..no luck. The old "Search" worked a whole lot better than this one.

I would suggest using a little bondo and touch up paint, but couldn't guarantee how it would turn out(we don't need front plates in az, therefore the dealers don't drill holes)

Check out www.bumperplugs.com - they specialize in stuff for Porsche, but the plugs will work in anything. The problem is that Scion colors aren't the same. They have some similarities - check the chart. I know they don't have Flint Mica. If you really want it, however, they'll do it custom and guarantee an exact match. It was pricey though, so I stopped caring. Let me know what you find out. What color is your car, BTW?

My car is white and they sell Toyota bumper touch up aerosol spray paint at local auto stores. It doesnt have to match EXACT since its so small. Thanks and I'll check out the link.

THANKS for the link! I also have white and have been looking for something. If you go to the color match chart they have a big list with plenty of toyota colors and their equivilents. Super White = Carrara White. They also have some colors that look like they will work with Flint Mica...

Too late now but you should have hassled your dealer about the initial drilling. I was calling my dealer almost daily reminding them I did not want the front bumper drilled.
No holes for me. Woo Hoo!

Well, I asked them twice before the car even got to the dealership, and the STILL drilled the bumper. I couldnt not take the car since I waited 3 weeks for it and had to drive a 800 mile round trip to get it...

I used a jb weld like thing that they sell at walmart I forgot the name but its like putty. I cleaned up the screw hole first with a razor blade to get rid of the screw shavings and even it out. Knead the putty like the directions says till it gets a little warm and fill in the hole. Wet your fingers a little and smooth it out nice and neat, clean up the mess around the hole, and let it dry a couple minutes. Then I got some touch up paint that I got from the dealership colored it in. Decent looking. I like it better then two big holes.

my dealer told me they drill the holes at the port... is this just BS on my dealer's part?

BS. I have no holes in my front bumper.

Yeah. The dealer jacked up my front bumper. The area around my screw holes is actually bent outward, like they took a power drill and jammed it in the bumper, and ripped it back out before it was finished drilling.

Toyota Silver Mica Metallic (1E7) Titanium Silver Metallic

Order plugs in "Titanium Silver Metallic" and it should be equivalent paint...

Is that right? 1E7? When I asked before, he said he didn't have anything that exactly matched Flint. I'm pretty picky about the plugs being the right color, but if it's REALLY close, that's good enough too. I wish I could see color match pictures before throwing down all that money for a little piece of plastic.
