Default Lucas oil products

Hey all, haven't been around much - been busy with other things in life. Anyway, I have a quick question for everyone - what does everyone think of lucas oil products? Specifically the fuel injector cleaner. My car has around 11k on it right now and I would like to add this to clean out the system. Thoughts, suggestions, comments?

Thanks!

Yeah i agree that i wouldn't use Lucas Oil Products. I would suggest you get yourself a can of BG Product's 44K fuel cleaner. Get about 1/4 or less tank of gas, pour it in, then fill the tank, run through that tank of gas, then get an oil change (since it can dilute/mix with the oil, seeps down the cylinder walls), you should see a result after that.

I know I sound like a commercial all the time but 44k is all that has ever worked, I tried most everything else out there. www.bgprod.com to find a dealer near you. One can cost me about $18-19, but worth it.

Lucas makes ddecent products, not sure where everyone got the idea they are that bad.

However, the only fuel system cleaner I ever use is BG44k like mentioned above. Very good stuff. Also one of the only ones I have actually seen do much of anything. Its also what Toyota dealers typically use.

However, you dont need to run anything through it at 11k. I run cleaner through my cars at about every 40k - 50k.

I also run zero additives in my oil.

The reason why I would rather not try out Lucas on my car.

Lube Control has been recommended to me by many of my friends though.

Hmmm, well I have been using Lucas Oil (Synthetic) with Castrol Synthetic Oil and a bottle of their Injection cleaner every oil change for years on all the cars I used to own... Never had any problems with it... Currently I'm using a 50/50 mixture in my cousins 97' Neon with 130k miles on it and it runs like a champ...

I have seen that exact same demo done, except the lucas climbed the gears just like it was supposed to

But again, I dont run additives in my oil. Good oil changed regularly is all you need

Some automotive stores have the same demo setup near the Lucas products and they work flawlessly lol.

But yeah regular fluid changes and proper regular maintenance is about all you really need.

lucas makes great stuff

I used the trans stuff in my chevy with almost 300k and a slipping tranny.

It fixed it the slipping almost instantly and the truck kept running about a year after that. Its still running now with almost 400k

I used the oil in the crank case and noitced a differance in gas millage ( in the chevy not in my tc nothing has been used in the tc)
