Make People say wow
Like I have said before I know nothing about cars. I want to buy stuff for my box, but I dont know what to get. What engine parts do i need to wow people. When I go to Scion meets or shows what do I need under the hood to wow all the other scion owners? I want to get an intake, sway bars, strut bars, shocks, struts, rims, supercharger. I want the best of the best, whatever money can buy.

custom work is what makes the real enthusiasts say wow. jdm parts that no one else in the us has will make people say wow. look at john, only box i've seen with a spirits kit, and its not a knockoff, its the real jdm one. but also, do what you like, dont conform to any standards.

You are the one that has to drive, buy what you think looks cool. Every one has there own tastes so there's no way to "wow" everyone so it would be better to "wow" your self. But like was said before, the jdm body kits look really nice, I think you would like them too.

Did you buy the car for yourself or for others? Sorry, had to ask. Anyway, make sure you're happy with your mods first. Having said that, custom work will always impress the most. Custom engine swaps with plenty of chrome polished parts...yada, yada, yada. Clean installs that look like factory jobs...etc, etc.
But I gotta ask, it sounds like money is no object. If so, why buy an xB? Just curious.

here's something for all, scion is all about diversity, all types of people have a scion. if u want to wow people, be yourself...try to think of it like this....your try'n to find something to wear to a party that ur comfortable with, but only the car is you...make sense.....if i don't make any sense sorry....i jus got up and now i'm at work....

You really want to make people say wow...
You know how, on the underside of Snapple caps, they have those little fun interesting trivia facts? Gets a few thousand of those Snapple caps, and crazy glue them to the exterior of your car... just cover every square inch of the exterior... if you have to be able to see out the back, don't cover up the windows, I guess. But yeah, cover the rims, the fenders, the liftgate, the hood, the doors, the roof, everything. That way, not only will people notice you, but they'll have plenty of interesting reading material on the highway.

Stop it you guys.
Listen, the box is a canvas for us to express yourselves. How do you expect to find a way to "mod" your car where every enthusiast says "wow"?
The wow factor is exponentially multiplied by the fact that each box is an extention/personification of the owner.
Take mine for example, tint on a BSP, BS Racing Hart rims (factory option), and springs. For the most part, I will never win a show/trophy, and I will never have a "wow" thrown in my direction, but my box looks as laid back as I feel.
The cars that make you say "wow" are more than likely sponsored or manufactures' cars. Motegi makes me say wow, 5axxis makes me say wow, trd kinda gets a wow from me too. But that is their whole purpose. To elicit that "wow" from you.
So for my two cents, unless you are sponsored, building a trailer queen, or are just stupid rich...allow the box to be transformed into your image.
If people think your box looks stupid because you're trying too hard, they may think that you're stupid for trying too hard. (I won't speak for everyone)
Be easy.

Take your time. Don't feel like you have to do everything at once. Start with the simple bolt on stuff and then spend the hours online and at shows/meets seeing what it is you like. However, because there just isn't that much performance aftermarket stuff for the xB I'd say the thing that could make your ride stand out is a dope, one of a kind, paint job. Just having a color xB that no one else has will definitely make your ride stand out in a big way. At the same time, having a less then perfect paint job will make it look weak. Takes bank$.

iIf I had a turbo and at the shows I was able to tell people "some dude I don't even know from a web forum bought it for me" when they asked how much it was, or where I got it. They'd say "wow" I'd record the first 100 of them and send you the tape too!
