Default Manual TC vs. Auto

Which do you own. I was thinking about getting the manual but havent test driven it yet. How are the gears? Do they shift easy. How is the pick up as well. I know that the auto has great pickup but was wondering what the manual was like.

Manual will obviously be faster...I drive a manual, and the tC dumbs manual down, you have room for error, my old car didn't have that luxury. So the manual is easy to drive.

if you like to smoke in your car like me get an auto (to busy shifting with manu). auto is more luxury. if you want to drive smoothly on the road then auto.

if you wanna drive manu for fun then get it. if you want it for racing purposes then get it.

if you want to roll back and forward using your clutch at a redlight and confuse the hell out of people get a manu.

i have a manual and i smoke, so sometimes i wait intill i shift to 4 or 5th to smoke. i also let go of the steering wheel, so my left hand in on the cig and right hand shifting. or i keep the cig on my fingers while holding on the steering wheel.

I love the auto in my car. My last car was 6 speed Nissan SE-R Spec V and I loved running through the gears. But, with my daily commute in LA an auto just made since. If I wanted a race car I wouldn't have moved to LA!
If you still wanna race off the line I think you'll be surpirsed at how responsive the auto is compared to most cars. I don't think there is really a bad choice here. Just depends on your intended use for the car.

with a 160hp, its worth a manual to race, but with a 400hp just get an auto, youll burn almost everyone anyway..

If you know the auto has great pickup, the manual will have even more pickup from the even more aggressive gearing.

How does the tC compare to the Nissan? My buddy has the Spec V, but he's not the best shifter, so I think I can take him. Do you think there's even a chance with the manual?
