wtf cant even get past 27mpg...

best was 28.5 but thats because there was a long road trip.

when i went past 340 my car almost stalled out. had to coast into a gas station...
its pretty different in a manual...the gears seizes up...cant be good for the clutch...

I dont know how people are getting 34mpg, the car only gets EPA rated like 29 mpg on the freeway. I get about 22mpg all city driving, and about 270 mile per tank.

My first fill-up with my '06 xB, I went 141.8 miles on 3.032 gal, for 46.8 mpg. That's roughly 151% of its original 31 mpg combined EPA estimate.

My Sentra SE-R with its 2.5 L engine comes close to tC engine displacement and power. In March, I drove it 405 miles on 10.2 gal, for 39.7 mpg, but I had two other tanks of 366 and 361 miles on 8.38 and 3.83 gal, respectively (mileages of 43.6 and 43.1 mpg). Over the past 8500 miles, I'm averaging about 154% of its original 24 mpg EPA combined mileage estimate. Since tC EPA estimates are within 1-2 mpg of my Sentra's, I don't have much problem accepting that some of you can get 400+ mile tanks and 40 mpg,

I'm a hypermiler. Slowing down increased my mileage from 26 mpg at 72 mph, to 39 mpg at 55 mph, a 50% improvement.

nope I do city/hwy driving, I live in queens bro lol non stop traffic too. I say 50/50 hwy/city driving. I don't always speed but sumtimes I open it up and still manage to get over 340. I drive at 60/70 at 3k rpms, I shift my gears at 3-4k and when I come to stops I jus throw it in neutral and coast to a stop. I live in nyc and work in LI I drive about 50/60 miles a day and about 20/30 of them is hwy.

A lot of the variance....is not just different driving styles or exactly how much city vs. highway... the other big factor in the variance is elevation. Those closer to or at sea level will generally get slightly better gas mileage than say someone like me at over a mile above sea level. The atmosphere pressure does make a difference. And there is very little up here in CO at 6000 ft. above sea level compared to the coasts. I still average in the low 3's though...330-340. I have hit 380 when most of the tank was used for highway miles. In my other tC the highest I hit was 33mpg. I dont have my new tC broken in yet. lol..but I'm averaging 26-28mpg for about 50/50 city/highway driving.

I've gotten around 400 on a tank but that was with all highway driving and I filled up my tank to the absolute fullest.

I wanted to use all of the $20 I pre-paid.

Wish I could get to around 400 miles. all our driving is in traffic and slow back roads, almost no highway. We're lucky if we can squeak out 350 miles from a tank!@

first gas tank (from the dealer): 299.5 miles.
lots of traffic and stalling, inclines, declines... blah blah.
