Btw, Microsoft Live Maps says that journey is 425 miles.

14.5 - 2 = 12.5
500 / 12.5 = 40.

14.5 - 2 = 12.5
500 / 12.5 = 40.
Before the Injen CAI I would average 310-330. After the CAI I average 400-405. So far my best is 412. 70% hwy, 30% city.

Just blew my previous record of 412mi. away by getting 446mi.! This being over the course of 2 weeks and changng driving habits to 70% city 30% hwy. I also used premium gas instead of my usual plus. I'll try to get a pic of both my receipt and trip.

havnt really pushed it yet, but I manage 330 miles (city and highway) empty but without the warning light on. Im sure I could get 400 miles + but havnt really tried or been on a long trip yet.
But 330 is what I have avg. filling up with 12.xx gallons so combined 27.5mpg

i go on the highway for about less than 10% of my driving so i just whip around my town everyday so thats probably why mines so low. When i do take the occasional long highway trip i get around 33-35mpg.
it usually goes:
50miles - needle drops to the full line
100 miles - 3/4 tank
roughly 200 miles - half tank
250-275 - 1/4
around 300 fillup when light comes on

i've been trying to maximize my MPG lately, and my last tank i got 456 miles, which took 12.48 gallons to fill, making my best MPG an astounding 36.5.
oh, and the gas light came on before 12.5 gallons gone in my tank. mine came on 25 miles before, so somewhere around 11.8 gallons gone from the tank.
here are the particulars of my drive and driving habits and car. 07 tc, only mods are 20percent tint and two ten inch speakers. my drive consists of half highway/half rural (no stop lights, only 2 stop signs on my daily commute). regular gas, unchanged air filter (32000 miles). speed limit is 55 on my highway, but i go 60-65 with windows up and AC on one bar, drafting occasionally. during my rural portion of my ride, i have a lot of opportunity to coast, and coast i do. also, i'm big on hitting my lines to get carry the maximum speed with minimal gas expenditure on the curves. i usually don't ride out my gears, shifting about 3 grand usually, except when i just can't help myself and redline both 2nd and 3rd on one stretch on the way home.
there you have it. a mix of good habits and good conditions.
