Most miles on a single tank?
#162
I've never really pushed my luck to see how far down the needle actually goes, but I've been over 350 per tank a few times. Don't remember the max - 375? I usually fill up when I get to 1/4 tank or so anyway.
I drive 45 miles each way to work, most highway, but 'city' on either end. Speed can be a crawl to 75 - 80.
Filled up this morning, and it was easy to remember - took 11.3 gallons and went 311 miles = 27.5 mpg. That's with 18s and an Injen intake.

If you're only getting 225 city driving, you suck at driving. I'm usually at 250-275 at the 1/4 tank mark in the city...and that's on a boost happy tank.
Just filled up, 11.8 gallons = 394.2 miles. Could have gotten more if I didn't hit boost so many times and if I wasn't on 18's.

NYNC that made me crack up so hard lol!
i fill up every quarter of a tank and by that time im up to 310 ish miles. i drive moderately i never race etc i shift at 2500 rpms everytime ofcourse unless im getting on the hwy. i always keep my speed at about 60/75 mph, but ofcourse there are times i open it up a bit. at half a tank im at 260miles. im always in stop and go traffic goin around queens and brooklyn, then i work in East Meadow NY. the mornings are always stop and go and the afternoons are worse lol. idk i jus drive moderately i guess thats all i can say when i never rev high unless im ____ing around

I keep the tires inflated and just have an intake. Might have something to do with being auto. If I drive it where it shifts below about 3000/3500 all the time, I'm creeping along like a grandma. And too many dumbasses with big SUVs in this town that'll run me over.

Did a little test on the way home. Didn't even come close to hitting boost once, drove as conservative as possible. Hit 3 red lights, out of 7. About 60% highway, 40% city, used the most gas while getting onto the highway.
So if I were to stay completely out of boost and drive as conservative as possible, I think a 500 mile all highway tank would be very doable.

Boost ____ing kicks ___. But seriously, my drive home was boring as hell haha. I was doing 60-65 on the highway...got to 70 at one point, but that's because I was going downhill, used that to get some momentum. Getting on the highway sucked too. I got on as slow as humanly possible, and before I got on, my MPG was at 38....by the time I got on it was down to 27.2 lol.
So @ 34.7mpg, and paying for premium @ 2.08/gallon, I'm at $.059 per mile. @ 28mpg (best I managed on the same trip N/A) with 87 @ 1.83/gal, it's $.065 per mile. Technically, if I keep driving this slow, this turbo will pay for itself after approx 50,000 miles.
