Default Most Spent On Regular Gas For Fillup On Your tC!

Hey guys,

I just wanna see (for fun) what people spend on gas for a regular fillup...

for the tC only!

Most I spent is $43.02!

I believe gas was about $3.49, I filled up about 12 gallons.

I did get 27.1 mpg off of that tank though.

Do you still have this car?

Because you said "my car pings like hell."

Which means you are talking about your current car, not one from a few years ago.

And I'm pretty sure everyone is talking about their Scions, considering it's a Scion site. I could talk about filling up my buddies RV with a secondary fuel tank from empty, but I thought that was considered cheating.

Take that.

Wow...gas up here in the Pacific Northwest was $3.79 last time I filled up (over $4 for premium and $5 for biodiesel).

I have a box so I'm only paying about $35 a fill-up but my hubby with the tC...$50.

=( I fill up at 1/2 tank all the time (mostly due to paranoia thanks to my mom) and I just paid $26 to fill up at the 1/2 mark...........so $52 if it were empty

::sigh::

The top "half" is bigger than the bottom "half". When you fill your tank from the halfway mark to the top, you are probably filling about 60 - 65% of the tank (rough guess). If that costs $26, the whole tank would cost $40-ish.

Oh wow, this I did not know-- Well $40ish is definitely better than $52! Thanks for the info

Yeah, you should let your fuel level drop to the bottom of the tank just to see what happens. You will see that the bottom "half" empties out much faster than the top "half". I usually wait until the warning light comes on before filling up.

I always noticed that the gauge wasn't accurate when saying half full, but just dealt with it as I have a set commute and wait until the light comes on as well.

Good information.
