Default Motor Trend mag calls the tC "a coupe with legs"

Everyone...

The August 2004 issue of Motor Trend magazine gives the tC a thumbs-up on page 50. Here are some highlights of the review:

-- There is no "wuss" version. All tCs get the "big" motor.
-- The interior affords surprising luxury and space for a coupe. Legroom and headroom approach those of a Camry Solara.
-- Sound insulation approaches that of a Lexus.
-- All of the above standard kit, plus air-conditioning, cruise, and full power, starts at just $16,465 -- $1,620 under the slower, smaller, less-loaded Celica.

Looks like Toyota/Scion has a produced another winner.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

It's a preview, not a review. Try and find a preview that doesn't speak positively about the car in question.

I didn't even see the option for "legs" at the dealer.

The "big" motor would be the Camry's V6, not the 4-cyl. In my opinion all of the tCs come with the LITTLE motor!

edmunds.com and consumerguide.com provide provide honest opinions from what they liked to what they didn't like. the general feel i've been reading is that some people maybe have problem with space, legroom, headroom and although cheap, addingi n accesories will get pricey.

when they say the "big" motor.... i think they mean that the biggest available motor for the tC is standard, unlike the civic dx and lx which dont come with the vtech(125hp?)motor like the ex.

anyone know if dealerships are open on independance day?
