I only drive it when I need to get work done to it, or when I need to run somewhere quick since it's in my garage I can just hop in. I don't drive it as much because it's not as reliable in my opinion as my daily driver. I show it because I don't want to track it yet until i get standalone, for the sake of my motor.
On a more mellow note....why do you feel it's not reliable? It's only running 8lbs of boost. The stock motor laughs at 8lbs of boost.
I daily drove on the E-Blue for nearly 3 years at 8lbs then 10lbs. Been driving on the Ultimate for 6 or so months daily as well.
I have friends who drive daily on 10lbs on an E-Blue that have been like that for about 2 or so years with not one single problem, and they street race a lot on the weekends. PTuning took home the Modified FWD Championship for Time Attack in 2008 running an E-Ultimate at 14lbs of boost with 50/50 methanol injection on a completely stock motor. They raced the stock motor an entire season. I've beaten on my tC's stock motor since day one of boosting it (evident by the 50 some odd Youtube videos street racing other cars).
Just curious to know why it's not reliable in your eyes....aside from the carbon doors and cage.

Why is that? Explain. Because a Piggy back is no different in daily driving drive ability. So, what assurance are you thinking you are going to get in a Standalone that you don't get in an Ultimate?
If you can't get a piggy back setup properly, I would not be to confident you could get a standalone setup properly. As it's more intuitive and a bit harder to setup when you have to set up every single parameter to control the motor.

^QFT!!! Stephen drives his car to every show...even several hours away. I know I would love to have my car to have 1/2 the clout his does around here, and a daily driver (and I think 90% of the haters are as envious as me). What I find is that people forget is that as much as they have a right (in their mind) to say anything they want, they also forget there are equally as many times as they shouldn't.
Sephen keep doing what you are doing, and don't part it out ever. Remember there will always be haters they come with the territory.

Not always..there is spirit driving around remote areas or even the highway. HAHA dont kill me because I said highway..yes its dangerous if you dont know how to drive. The only problem with Steph's car is the roll cage..unless he likes to drive around with a helmet 24-7 but I must remind you guys that he said he is still planning to track his car once he gets his standalone, bbk, and LSD.

I've got buddies w/ sti's shouldn't they be rallying them then? Not nessecarily! I have tracked mine a few times but I will most likely never be on a track with my tC again even though I have some stuff done now (finally). When you track your car and you are doing it right you break stuff. I can't fault anyone for not wanting to have to replace things every other time they go out (that is not a literal statement just an example). If he wants to do it do it, if not meh...its his car!

but he cant even do spirit driving since his car isnt even "reliable" to DD. so whats the point? i dont understand why the car cant be tracked now, he has ALOT done for the track so far, doesnt really need to get everything out there on the market to make his car good for a track, i think practice makes perfect then add sum parts and it gets better. its better to start from day 1 then have to wait to get parts on etc. idk jus my 2cents there

kanchi, no thats not the case. but when sum1 is claiming a car to be a "track car" then it should see the track atleast once during the build. but i do understand the whole not wanting to fix anything if it breaks but..isnt that inevitable if thats what ur building a car for? so lets say he adds all the other parts hes waiting for then what? he tracks it and sumthing breaks then, same if he woulda tracked it now
