My Katzkin interior put in w/ pics
Got my Katzkin interior from www.namotorsports.net, very helpful to me and got my order to me in 6 days (phone to on my door)
If you know nothing about cars/mechanics (me) i suggest u find someone to put it in for you, but if you have any knowledge about cars/mechanics you should be fine (may i suggest the video that they sell. I didnt buy it but im sure there was some pretty helpful tidbits on how to get it installed) I didnt remove the stock covers because i didnt want to deal w/ the foam, and it obviously makes me sit higher but im ok w/ that. here are some pics throughout the install. Be ready to spend a day working on them.
This is not a do it yourself guide but more to give you an idea of what you may have to do, and that you CAN do it yourself if you have time, tools, and some knowledge.
I spent about an hr doing the headrest while watching tv and that wasnt a problem
(i know nothing about mechanics)
Then sunday i got Justin (if anyone from the Chicago area reads this u know who he is since he does everything for us) to basically install it for me, as i was working on my wiring of everything non related to these seats.
the rear seat backs were installed while on the car and tightened up and the seat was removed to make it easier to install
the front seats were removed from the car and then wrapped
removing the seats is pretty simple just a few bolts and wire on the drivers side
u'll need a pen knife/knife to slit holes for the headrests and seat memory function on the side but then the plastic pieces will keep the leather on tight. just dont make to big of a hole.
the bottom of the seats will also need some customization and im guessing this is were the cd probably tells u the best way of going about it, but we just cut a hole stretched the leather around the pieces that were in the way and then the plastice pieces fit over the top and everything is functional and tight. if u remove the original seat covers then u can use the clips to make it sit in tighter, but like i said i didnt want to deal w/ the foam.
the armrest in the middle just fits over the top and can be removed or u can get some adhesive (super 77) and it will never move again, but that spray is a one shot deal, super 44 (or something like that) gives u some maneuvarbility.
i have yet to install the door panel pieces and that may be a week or 2 when i do that as well as the headrests
i will post pics
i definetely recomend the product for people looking to enhance the look of ur car for a pretty moderate price and the nick at www.namotorsports.net was very helpful.
check out the website, they have all kinds of colors and materials to suit u.
thanks to nick and justin for all the help

Nice install. I hate to be the only one to say it though, that color looks hideous against the charcoal and light gray color of the rest of the interior. But good Job and clean install. (build, break, build) criticism within a compliment
