What did you do different? I ordered one and I'm expecting it this week.

The reason why you need to drill underneath on the driver side is because the bolt is too big and not the correct thread pattern. What I did is just went to the hardware store and got a size smaller bolt and a new nut that would fit through the hole and used that. I dunno why the kit wasn't designed like that in the first place. If you want some pictures I can get some tomorrow of what I'm talking about.

That would be extremely helpful. What size bolt and washer did you use?

I don't recall what size it was, i just brought the bolts that came with the strut bar to the hardware store and made compared sizes it really only needs to be like two sizes smaller. It also helps if you get longer bolts. I used the bolt that came with the strut bar on the passenger side because there is no drilling on the bottom required, and it was barely long enough for me to thread the nut on. So id say for the driver side, get two sizes smaller and longer bolt, nut and washer. For the passenger side you might as well get a longer bolt as well, it will make it easier for you. I'll get pics of what im talking about after i get off work at 5.

Cool. Thank you for the pics and explanation. Is the bolt you used smaller around in diameter than the one that came with the kit?

Yup, and a bit longer. I think I'm going to take it out and put another, bigger washer under the smaller washer on the top cuz the washer I used is kind of small. But other than that everything holds great.

I can see what you're talking about. I don't know why they didn't design it the way you put it in. I'm really hesitant about drilling into my car. Thank you again.

I installed my ingalls rear strut bar today. Thank you for the advice on using smaller bolts. I used 3/8 at 6" long on driver side and 5/16 at 6" long on passenger side.
