Default My tC has officially been replaced. Finally.

After 6 long, grueling months of figuring out what car I've wanted to replace the tC with, I finally made the decision. And holy schnikes, it was the right one.

2010 WRX Premium 5-Door, Lightning Red

And this thing would have eaten my tC alive, when it was boosted.

The only things I plan on doing to it..
Red out tails (white center)
Rally Armor Mud Flaps
Retrofit of some sort
Cobb AP stage 2
TBE

That's it. Once these tires die out, I'll get a set of summer wheels and some blizzaks for the OEM wheels. And by summer wheels, I mean '04 STI BBS wheels.

This thing is already stupid fast, so performance wise, it doesn't need much. And I'm not planning on making it a rattle box with stiffer/lower suspension and low profile tires. I absolutely love being able to go down the road and hear not a single rattle.

Im sure it will beat the tc on road course..

But straight line.. We raced my friends ptuning tc 10psi vs a brand new sti..

Thought the sti wasint trying!

But.. it was stock. and it was in straight line!

Congrats on the new car! I know you will make some nice mods and make this thing shine Glad you got this instead of hyundia!

The only place my tC would have beat this thing, is from an 80 mph pull. Guys are running 13.2 bone stock, and mid/high 12's with just a reflash and TBE.

And the new WRX is faster than any Evo/STI variant ever released in the US, even the new STI. The 5-speed gearing is better than the 6-speed, the power curve is better and it's 150lbs lighter. And I must say, first gear pulls are awesome, I was never able to do a first or second gear pull in my tC. I'm not saying it's faster then every tC ever, but first and second gear pulls are just brutal in this thing, way more fun than 4th gear pulls in my tC.

I'm glad I got this too. The Hyundai was nice, easily the best bang/buck for a RWD sports car, but I decided to go the practical route. And in this case, practical meant faster .

Nice man! I was thinking about one of these but am getting a GTI. I just love the new bodystyle and the interior. The interior is top notch.

I like the new GTI, but the price tag is a bit steep for a FWD hatch.

a lil yes. But if you go through USAA i can get one w/ 4drs, bi-xenon and sunroof for just over 24k. Thats cheaper than msrp still with all those options. Plus roaming the VW forums apparently the new GTI puts down 203whp stock!

24k is still pretty steep for a loaded FWD hatch. The AWD is what pretty much sold me on the Subaru.

It's all good though, the GTI is still a big improvement over the tC lol. And good choice on the 4dr. The 2dr is nice, but being able to let people get in and out of the car without having to move the seat and watch them climb over everything and kick all your panels is pretty nice.
