One of biggest things i disliked about the new WRX's was the tail lights but those redout ones look sick! Nice pickup, defiantly a better choice over the genesis.

My Subaru influence rubbed off on you. Keeping the single exhaust? or going dual? I like the single.

Keeping single. I like the double, but that means I have to get the STI diffuser, which means more money...plus dual exhaust = more weight. I'm not sure what exhaust I'm going with yet, but I might pick up the SPT catback and a Cobb downpipe.

I was set on getting a V6 Gen Coupe, but then I test drove the WRX. Since I go mountain biking and go snowboarding, the WRX just fit my lifestyle so much better. A roof rack on a Gen Coupe isn't exactly ideal lol. I will say though, that it is by far, the best RWD coupe available for $30,000. Plus the Genesis is useless in the snow, whereas the WRX is fun in the snow :D.

Those red tails are defintely a must. I love the car man. it is very nice looking. Id prolly go that route but without snow down here there is no need. Plus i wanna move away from a car that garners attention from the lil teenagers that think they are hot crap in there lil stock engine civics or integras with fart cans. I mean its always a good laugh when they role buy trying to mean mug! LOL

So much win! I was still hoping for a hardtop s2k. For a retro, hit up Lightwerkz.net (Ceasar) he's in NJ too and does alot of subies.

I already recommended him to someone else in the Suby world, but I'm doing the work on my own. No reason to spend $1,000 to have someone do it when I can do it myself for ~$400.

But a retrofit is definitely in order. I'm not wasting my time with PnP kits anymore, their output sucks. I've seen OEM halogen bulbs outperform aftermarket HID kits...

And since I have your attention and you know all about this stuff.
Philips 85122+ D2S Bulbs
FX-R Projectors Clear Lens
Matsu____a Gen 3 Ballasts <--- lol, stupid filter.

Uber set up? That's what I'm looking at buying, assuming it all fits.

yes to the bulbs and ballast (lol @ filter), just make sure you plug that ballast in right, if you rev polarity them it will fry. i should know because i fried a set. if you have the money for projectors, get ls430/rx350/ls460 like G2Low mentioned, way better projectors there. ill also throw in s2k projectors, i havent heard much on the replica FX projector, i have that OE projector but with the TSX clear lense swap (sharper cutoff). im not too crazy for any replica projectors or lense atm, dont know if the quality will hold up for the life of the car?

The Cobb DP is by far the best. Only bad thing is that it necks down to 2.5 in right before the catback potion. Or at least it used to, IDK if the had a re-design. Also The bellmouth design is very good, it uses 3x more weld area to connect to the downpipe. Have fun with the Car.

Accessport will be your best friend btw. And Valet mode FTW

Nope, it still bottlenecks down. They probably do that for a reason if they've left it that way for almost 10 years lol.

Easy enough to just cut out the bottleneck. Thats what we always did to the Cobb's per customer request.

I'll look into it. I still have a while before I'm going to get into anything major. I should have an extra $5-6k coming in from selling my tC/Accord and my tax return, and I just know I'm going to be tempted to use that money for the extra 75whp, even though the car doesn't need it lol.

And I think I might try to pick up a set of 04 STI BBS wheels to use as my winter wheels.

I've heard that the FX-R's are the best on the market right now. They have a cutoff that matches the Clear TSX and supposedly they put down more usable light under the cutoff. And the FX-R is a factory FX projector, but they replace the frosted lens with a clear replica lens.

FX-R

TSX

These TL hybrids actually look better than the previous two.

Those FX-R's produce ridiculous color.
