Miami Student Drives Off in Sizzling Coupe
DEERFIELD BEACH , Fla. -- Deerfield Beach , Fla . -- Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET), Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. , Inc. (TMS), and AutoMundo Magazine have announced that Sylvia Rivera, a 21-year-old college student from Miami , is the grand prize winner of a brand new, customized Scion tC, the official giveaway car of the 2005 South Florida International Auto Show.
“This is the most exciting moment in my life, I can't believe this is happening,” Rivera exclaimed upon hearing the news that her name was chosen among the thousands of entries.
Originally from New Jersey and a resident of Miami for 13 years, Rivera attends Miami-Dade Community College and hopes to transfer to Barry University in the coming months. “I feel so lucky. I can't tell you how much it means to get my first new car; thank you so much,” she continued.
“We are happy that such a deserving individual won this extraordinary vehicle,” said Michael Kennedy, manager of Scion operations at Southeast Toyota . “On behalf of SET, I'd like to thank our partners at Automundo Magazine , Toyota Motor Sales and the South Florida International Auto Show for helping us give Sylvia the hottest car on South Florida 's streets.”
On display at this year's South Florida International Auto Show, the fiery Scion tC features upgraded performance modifications, wheel package, interior design, all new accessories and a beautifully detailed custom paint scheme by DuPont Hot Hues.
One of greater Miami's largest publicly attended events, the 35 th annual show filled one-million square feet with 1,000 of the newest 2006/2007 cars, trucks and accessories along with exotic motorcars in Million Dollar Alley, antiques in Memory Lane and beautiful bikes in Motorcycle Row.
Valued at nearly $28,000, the tC's scorching yellow body combines a psychedelic design along the base of the vehicle. A rear spoiler, ground effects, 18” Enkei alloy wheels and all leather interior are just some of the upgrades that make this Scion tC the ultimate ride.
