New Neil Tjin/Verone tC show car...
#43
Hey Guys,
Just got back from the NY show today, 12 hours long and we had a great time debuting the car in the Scion booth. After a 6 hour flight out here, I wanted to see what the people in NY thought about the car in person and the response was great.
I had the tC parked side by side with the 240, as it worked out that Scion and Turtle Wax were right next to each other.
Thanks once again for the feedback, its cool to see what you guys think.
As for the interior comments, I can see were some of you don't like the blue and red scheme, but I went with it because we are working with Bride and we have the first set of blue Bride Zetta III's in the US. When I heard that, it was well worth it for me to go with the blue interior. Also the rest of the interior is all done up in Bride material, both the mesh and suede materials.
As for the Pyle stuff, believe it or not its all about building the right relationships. I have worked with them in the past, and like I stated before their stuff is not as bad as some might think. If you look and study their new line and actually try it out, its really good stuff. I did the EA Games R34 with nothing but Kenwood stuff, and the new Pyle TV's and head-unit that I have in the tC are right up there.
As for the engine shots, ill have some next week when I get back from NY. I didnt have time to get any good shots, before the car left up to NY for the show, but I will have some in a couple days.
Talking about the custom stuff...take a good look at the car. The stuff that we did and are saying is custom...is! All the interior panles for the audio and video, were custom fabricated by E-audio...we didnt just pick them up at an audio shop. The body work is custom, its not just stock. You can't tell, gut plenty of work went into riveting the kit on, and making the 19" HRE's fit on the car...cutting 4" off each fender is custom. As for the rivets being custom, as wierd as it sounds, to make them work with these flares and keep the fiber glass from cracking, we had to have a guy in Florida customize the exact length and width for us on the rivets. The only thing that isn't custom that the specs said was the top grille. We did ___b one up, but then we decided to put the stock tC one back, to give Scion love. The aluminum piece in the bottom whole of the front bumper, another custom piece that we had to make from aluminum. To fit the rear Wilwood big brakes, you have to custom fab caliper brackets and spacers to get the rear brakes on, not to mention custom hats for the wheels. So if custom seems to be used loosely, I apologize, but there is a lot more custom stuff in the tC the meets the eye.
Thanks again guys for the great comments and feedback.

Great job Neil in a short period of time. Had the pleasure to seeing pics last week and felt weak for not being able to share them. Can't wait to see the car in person.

Just got back from the most insane show that I have ever been a part off!
Check out the crowd shots from the NY Auto show from this past weekend.
I was fortunat enough to have my 240 in the Turtle Wax booth, right next to our tC in the Scion booth.
From Friday morning until Sunday night, the show was packed from door to door!
Me as a mime....

I like it alot but I'm not that big of a fan of the interior color I think black or gray would of looked better. Also I can't believe that all that money was dropped on the car and you went with freakin pyle audio... such a waste of space and money on that crap.

Once again thanks guys for the feedback.
NY was insane last week and we had a great time rep'n Scion with our tC.
We got great feedback from Scion, the east coast dealers, and all the enthusiast that made it to the show.
As for the comments about the interior colors and Pyle equippment, I discussed that earlier in the post and I did what I had to do to take care of those who have supported me throughout the years. Plus, I am more then happy to rock blue Brides and material any day and like I said before the top of the line Pyle stuff, isn't as bad as you guys think.
As for the Got Jesus? sticker. Its pretty self explanitory. I am a Christian and a believer and I got Jesus. Its just a logo that my crew and I have been running for the past couple of years to show love to the Man upstairs.
Thanks again guys for the feedback and the tC will be on tour starting this month and ending our year at SEMA with Scion.
