New paint after some hail damage what you all think?
I will just skip how i got the damage. Insurance paid all but $500 for the deductible. Took it to a body shop i herd lots of goods things about. Got a call on Friday they said it was ready i goo look at it pealing on the passenger side rear window. They call on Monday say its ready i look at it and don't see anything wrong with it until i get it home and you can see the rest. The damage from the body shop. This is not all of it, going to take it to the dealer and see what they say for a estimate. One thing for sure the **long list words that i can not say** AKA body shop that did this will not have another shot at fixing it since it was the seconds chance. Thinking about just getting rid of it and find a 08 or 07 if they have any left. i loved my TC, and now i dont even want to be seen driving it.
UPDATE:
Just got an estimate to have it repaired $1,717.30 with rental $1969.30. $110.16 more than the original estimate for the original damage. I think its time for the body shop to bend over.
UPDATE 2: Very late update but hear we go. Waiting for small claims court took a long time and a big pay in the @ss. Total damage $4,393.63 and it the panels cant be cleaned another $1,290.39.
So rule number 1 take it to the blind to fix.
Dont know what they did to this
That does not wipe off no clue what they did. One thing for sure it was a **** job
2 tone WOW must have been beer 14
ok now beer 20 or 25
Bad mask job and sand blast at least that is what it looks like and this is not they only part, all around the hatch.
OK hand the drunk guy the spray gun
Update:
Did some more looking around and found grease on the rear headliner and the headliner was not reinstalled correctly. Oh and dirt all over the rear seats
Could they have left some tools (the box and the paper are mine)
Anyone have a clue what that caulk could be from

Everything I would've said. Not only is that color and flake match pretty bad, but that orange peel rivals even GM!

Ouch.
I just had work done to the hatch and bumper on my FM but unlike yours I can't tell any difference in color or texture.
Take that puppy back to the shop until they get it right. No painter in their right mind would be proud of that work.

why won't your insurance go to bat for you? my insurance would go after a shop that didn't stand behind their work and if they refused to fix it, then insurance wouldn't pay them.
that is some bad bad work, I can do better at home with a duplicolor spray can! ouch.. that shop is horrible, make sure to file a Better Business Bureau report so that others can find out they suck too.. sheesh..

Your hood is blue...
You went there and everything seemed fine? did you pick it up at night? The first look at that hood and I would have my foot lodged so far up that guy's ___...If they messed up the first time I would not have gone back to them I can only imagine they made it worse. Sorry to hear about your trouble.

I'm really confused about the two-tone thing. Is one of those colors the original color? I mean, did they paint both the hood and the fender, bumper, etc, or did they just paint the hood. If they just painted the hood, I could understand not being able to match the color. But if they painted both parts, then wtf? How did they manage to use two different colors? They only need to mix one batch of paint, so wtf happened?
