In CA dealing with the BBB or Licensing Board you have to give the original place a 2nd chance to correct the problem. If they don't, then it's fair game for another shop to correct it and to get money back from the original place. But that's in CA, I don't know if it's the same for NY.

I did give them a 2nd chance and they did not want it

Update:
Did some more looking around and found grease on the rear headliner and the headliner was not reinstalled correctly. Oh and dirt all over the rear seats

Could they have left some tools (the box and the paper are mine)

Anyone have a clue what that caulk could be from

That's just an awful job!!! I can't beleive that they would let the vehicle leave like that. I had a similar experience with the body shop at my Toyota Dealer. My door was re-painted after an oops they caused. When i got it back i had horrible orange peel, bubbles, and all of a sudden my door panel looked like someone beat it with a hammer! It took 3 trips back to make them right their wrong, but now it's ok. Good luck man!

And this is one more reason why i only go to my dealer if i have issues with the car or need it fixed. They have done awesome work on my car...especially when i was hit in the rear end while at a stop in traffic. They made my car look like brand new. I pick my car up tomorrow from the hit and run it had in my front end. still not sure who backed into my car and creased it in and did some more scratch and dent damage. Anyways, my car gets picked up tomorrow from my dealer and should look like new again. had to pay a $500 deductible though. Anyways, yea, that autoshop you went to definitely sucks. sorry to hear and see that.

Very late update but hear we go. Waiting for small claims court took a long time and a big pay in the @ss. Total damage $4,393.63 and it the panels cant be cleaned another $1,290.39.

So rule number 1 take it to the blind to fix.

That's flat-out the ____tiest work I've ever seen.
Looks like a spray can, sandpaper, and a guy named Stevie Wonder did the job.
I'd take them to court, no doubt.
