Back in 2005 Nitto Tire and Jotech Racing partnered to set the then unheard of 500-hp record for a street Scion tC. This year the companies set their aims higher. After a one month build, the companies backed up their horsepower claims on the dyno making 739-hp to the wheels. We followed Kenny throughout the entire process and created video episodes of the build up.


The main upgrade to the Scion tC is an HKS T04Z ball bearing turbo capable of producing enough boost to reach 739-whp. To feed that much boost, the motor required huge 1600cc fuel injectors. Many existing parts had to be re-routed or custom fabricated to work with the new turbo.

Monster tC...Heres my Q, Lots of power and what I read was its from the turbo and new injectors. I might have to read more into it but was there an Eng swap of some kind?
