Alright - specified in the installs for most of the parts is a nylon removal tool. I know it's just a piece of plastic used to pry trim pieces apart and you can do it with plenty of other things (hello screwdriver) but my tC is going to be my "nice" car and I don't want a scratch on it, much less right away. Does anyone know where you can actually get one of these tools? Home Depot? Some auto parts store?

Harbor Freight has them, either online or in a store if you have one near you. Auto parts place might, as might other industrial too places (Grainger, etc.) I used the screwdriver or my fingers when installing the sub and lights, and I didn't scratch anything.
