odometer just added 3000 miles overnight

Default odometer just added 3000 miles overnight

ok so i woke up today and went to start my 05 tc and noticed that half of the "4" (i have 46000+ miles) was missing and that the odometer read 49978!!! it added about 3000 miles overnight!!! does anyone know whats up? or if there is some information about where the true mileage of my car can be found?? like ECU?

thats wierd. idk how you would do it. maybe try unplugging the battery or just take it to the dealership you still have warranty!

mayb some one stole ur car drove 3000k miles and brought it bck and put the same amout of gas in it.. lol but tbh thats werid as hell id take it 2 the stealership

Something is shorting out some pins on the LCD or the LCD itself is dying, causing the numbers to display incorrectly. I highly doubt the stored mileage is off.

Have the gauges been taken apart?

put it on jackstands and put it in reverse for a good day...that should roll back the mileage easily

You must live out in undisturbed country, because obviously your car went out and drove all night at like 300mph. You need low traffic for that.

I think it may be haunted. Or possessed. One of those.

Have you tried disconnecting the neg terminal on your battery and reconnecting it?

ive tried all the disconnecting ideas i could think of...called scion corporate and i need to go to the dealership on monday..i'll let everyone know if my car is the new knight rider or not
