Default Official RAZO pedal fitting guide

I was looking for a new set of pedals with foot rest (dead pedal) covers for my new tC, and found this. My friend had the Magnesium set for this Civic, and it makes heel&toe action so much easier. These are 10x better than the "Official" tC OBX pedals.

most importantly, MATCHED SET WITH DEAD PEDAL COVER.

It looks like the fit guide says the executive sport ones are the ones that fit - are those the ones you got/are getting? About how much do those go for? I'd like a nicer set of pedals. I hope these replace the stock ones, not just snap over them... I don't want the extra bulk down there.

I have the Aluminum Razo Set
http://www.carmate-usa.com/html_razo...i_aluminum.htm

and they are just snap on, instead of an actual removal.

Regardless, i love them, they're awesome.

Do they make driving any easier? How exactly - you can slide your feet around better? How much did you pay for the set?

I was thinking of picking up the RP55s. Black Carbon with red accents.

http://www.carmate-usa.com/html_razo...s_s_carbon.htm

Their fitting guide (clicky) is pretty lengthy.

Although according to eBay, I don't think I'd want to indulge on $60+ pedals.

...maybe my girlfriend will.

You can see the aluminum set in my tC here
http://home.comcast.net/~gaiden133/sills1.jpg

I don't know whether it was mental or something, but i felt the gas pedal to be more sensetive, especially on light toe taps on the lower portion of the gas pedal. The way i set them up, my feet don't get caught anywhere, if feels waaaay better (if you drive barefeet sometimes), oppposed to rubber. And since you're in Seattle, WA; it takes like 1-2 days delivery from Cardomain.com, no joke haha. When I bought my set, i paid :
* - Razo Pa - $52 w/o shipping (Cardomain.com)
- RAZO Aluminum RP41A Sport Pedal
- RAZO Aluminum RP43A Sport Pedal
- RAZO Aluminum RP46A Sport Pedal

That's included with tax too, since we live in WA.

You're right - that does look good. I like the color match with our (plastic) silver trim. I think I might have to go for these.

If you have a gas pedal that is wider, you can do heel toe shifting easier. Imagine you are going to a turn and you need to downshift. What you do you before you turn you hit the brake and at the same time hit the gas to match the rev when you downshift. Then shift the gear lower and boom you are ready to accelerate.

I just ordered mine too - I think they look good and I haven't gotten any little presents for my car in a while.

hey Gaiden, did you have to drill holes on your gas pedal and the dead pedal for your set? I installed the Magnesium set for my friend's Civic and it doesn't need to drill holes on any of the 3 pedals.

on mine I drilled holes on the clutch and brakes. I used double sided tape for the gas pedal.

Was that what the install instructions told you to do? Tape sounds a little sketchy for something like a gas pedal - don't want that falling off and getting wedged somewhere.

I dont want to drill trough the platic. You are not putting that much pressure on the gas pedal. My pedals work alot better than those ones with mounting brackets on the back. As for OBX pedals, they fit perfectly but its just for looks. It doesnt have bigger gas pedals and brakes for heel toe shifting.

Just to clear some misconceptions on the Razo set that I got, only the footrest ( the most left aluminum part) came with 3M adhesive and with drill screws to screw in if you'd like. The other parts, the gas pedal, clutch and brake as you can see in the pic, are ALL exterior hinges that go behind the stock pedals, and then you screw it tight so that it stays. If you do a good job, you won't have to worry about any parts slipping off. I've had these pedals for 8+ months, and never once have they even felt that they were about to slip off. The hinges are a tight fit if secured.

I just wanted to update - I threw my pedals on last night and today was the first drive I took with them. A few thoughts - first off, I definitely like them. The installation was easy but not perfect. First off, the dead pedal doesn't fit AT ALL. It just lays on top of the stock one and it didn't cover nearly enough of it for me, so I'm not using it at all. Doesn't look funny without it because especially the series I bought the dead pedal looks different from the rest anyway. Secondly, because of the way our pedals are shaped and the way the Razos secure, some of the screws aren't in completely flush but you'd never see it if I didn't tell you. About driving, I'm worried that with my biggest shoes (I've got size 11s to start) it won't work well, but that's life. With my regular shoes, it works very well. These things don't add HP, but they're not just all show, no go. Driving is definitely easier - you can tell immediately. The tackyness of the rubber pedals really isn't good - it's hard to slide between the pedals. i like the metal already. All in all, a great mod. Cheap, easy, and reversable to boot. Thanks for the recommendations.

instead of buying those little aluminum pedals, i'm gonna just buy a can of silver paint and spray paint mine.
