HKS has the "fart can" look. The strup has the stock look. Personally i like the stock look. I think the strup exhaust has a better sound to it as well...but thats just personal preference. Its a bit deeper and more of a rumble I think. The HKS has a very nice fart can sound I think. Plus it just looks "rice" to me....but like I said thats just me and my personal preference. I have been debating on what exhaust to get for my tC. I found a site that makes a bolt on exhaust for pretty cheap and they use name brand mufflers like Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, and Aero Turbine.

Check them out. Pretty good price too. The Borla I think sounds very good. Stock look too....which is why I am going with these guys. Plus they are pretty cheap. Youtube all the vids of the exhaust to get an idea of what you like. Then its all up to you....Good luck. I have been debating for months now....

I'd say HKS..why pay more to have something look the same. All it is paying for the sound and the look of an axleback

Strup sounds great,is stock looking and fits well......

HKS sounds great, not fart can sound at all unless you have header and no resonator which is the case with any exhaust.

HKS has a big barrel and tip and hangs a little low at times.

HKS is quiet till you get on it but once you do it is very loud, deep sound, has a vibration that gets sent through the car,not a drone but a vibration from the tone of the note.

HKS has the angle out and you may need to trim a small bit of the under side of the bumper to get to fit,and make sure it ahs the third mount bracket or you will have to get one fabbed up or lower the can on the final hanger a little bit.

My vite is for HKS.

yup theres alot to factor in when picking a exhaust......i mean if you did pick up the HKS and a Cop decided he doesnt like it he can simply pull you over for a loud exhaust just for the heck of it......but for the most part you should be fine but again its depends on your area you wouldnt want to get a exhasut thats loud and knowing youll goona get pulled over

i've ridden in a friend's tC and he had the Strup exhaust. I wasn't too impressed with it.

HKS makes a silencer for the hi-power, which quiets it down considerably

Yeah, I bought the silencer for my HKS mainly for road trips and such, and it's extremely quiet when it's in.

my friend bought a universal "fart can" style muffler and had it welded on, i think the welding cost like 30 dollars, i forget what the muffler price was, but it was considerably cheaper than a brand name axle back. and it sounded great.. it was quiet loud, due to header and no resonator, but it sounded good, just as good as any other tc ive heard with a custom exhaust, be it a brand name axle back or brand name cat back.. just something to consider.. but some people want brand name parts.. and i respect that, that is how i am to be honest.

I agree I have several friends who did a no name exhaust and had it welded on and it sounded fine and at a fraction of the cost.......

I got lucky on my HKS and got it for $50 and a day detailing a friends car,his tC was totalled a week after installing it by a drunk driver and he offered it to me.......

Worst part of the HKS is it is big....bigger than GReddy and many other cans out there, the fitment is good still but it hangs a bit low and it noticable....now that I have my Five Axis kit it fits under a lot cleaner but before it was like wow that is a big can....lol
