Default Opinions on my tC?

I'm looking to sell my tc for an s2k.

-2005 Scion tC BSP w/ barelly 12,000mi
-Full Buddy Club 2 Kit [good fitment] [retail $500 + Fitment/Paint]
-OEM Fogs [New Bulbs (Artic Blue)][Custom built into the kit front end]
-6 CD Changer
-S2000 Antenna
-Rear and Side Rear Window Tint 30% [No Front]
-Brand New Axxis Ultimate brake pads [not installed yet, i'm going to install sometime next [weekend]

the bad::
-minor front end damage to stock front end because of crash [i replaced the entire front end so problem solved]
-minor rock scratches on hood

****overall, i use this car as a daily driver. i mainly drive to school and back...and sometimes over weekends, i take care of my car, it's in great condition.

**i have 1 extra rim for this car, i ran into a pothole it bent one of my rims, i bought 2 used ones as a set...so car comes with 4 stock rims on car and 1 spare if it ever happens again.

**more pictures posted later [only one i have for now]

*****im just posting to get opinions on how much i should sell for, im not selling anytime soon, just wanna get your opinions on it. i'm thinking $15,000

An s2k? really? I hate that car. I think you can do SO much better for the money. Get an sti for less. Possibly even a 350Z...

Anyway, go to www.kbb.com and get an estimate. Then add on w/e aftermarket work you've done, but of course being that the parts are used, price drops...

If you only have 12K on your car, you can't possibly need brakes unless you reallly beat up on it. Its not going to help you get more for the car, so just return em.

you cant possibly get that much from it.. you have a body kit on it, which will decrease the value of the car, go back to stock first.

well my brakes have been squeaking...and i have had it for 2 years. i plan on keeping the car for awhile longer, until i get more money, didn't really think of it as a plus just another add-on.

iono, i just have a thing for an s2k, i personally think its a great car, but thankx for your opinion.

i know three people that went from type-s to s2k
they all miss the type-s but they all love the s2k

Have test driven a s2K? if not, test drive one and you'll change your mind about the car. 100% ball less, and when the vtec finally hits, not much of a difference. Vtec all the lag of a turbo but, none of the fun..... It's like waiting for bad sex.

And like said before they are pretty pricey, and you can get better

good one... anyhow... expect to sell privately for about $14,500... at least in my opinion... And definitely don't expect much on a trade. I saw an amazing offer on a Saab 9-3 vector... went for the trade and got an offer of $11,500. I have an 06, perfect condition with 22,500 mi. I couldn't get them anywhere near blue book. On the positive side, the car I wanted was even more below kbb.

Good luck with everything. If I could get $15k for my car, I'd sell it in a heart beat. Just don't think it will happen.

btw i have driven a s2k, i loved it from then on, the guy on the lot to me to an emtpy street and said just run it...it opens up when you push it. but it does have crap low end power, cant do much about that

but i do love the look, price-wise expensive...but im willing to pay it

as for other cars, they are all good cars, maybe even better cars for you guys. but not for me =P

thankx for the opinion though.

Have fun with the S2k. I agree with KBB'ing it, and not adding anything additional on the price for your mods. They typically do not do anything to raise your price, sometimes can even lower it becuase you are narrowing down your buying group. All hondas have crappy torque #'s, that's why I like the TC.

what year s2000? Late models are alot better than earlier. My friend who used to race a 911 has an s2000 and I love it. So small and nimble. Thing looks like its gonna eat you when its driving towards you hehe.

04-05 is what i would get too. Try not to get 06-07 cuz those got dbw. I prefer throttle cable, but thats just me.

the mods you have done add nothing to the value.

possible price drop for the buddy kit and another drop if the crash you had can be found on a carfax report.
you can get a little bump up for the low miles.

this is what dbw is
http://www.worldwidewords.org/turnsofphrase/tp-dri1.htm
i rather have direct response thanhaving the ecu control the throttle.
the 07 tc has dbw
not sure what the difference is besides the rims and dbw for the s2k

"The great advantage being put forward for this is that the computer is able to make the steering, suspension and brakes work together to give the car better handling, especially in bad road conditions, to give better fuel consumption, and to react to emergencies faster than a human driver could..."

isnt that a good thing? does it show or effect daily drive, noticiable?
