Default parking lights??

hey so i installed my HID's today on my TC in my low beams but i don't like the way they look with the halogen park lights next to them , any sugestions on what kind of bulb to replace them with?? i wanted them to be white or blue. I keep reading that people replace them with LED's would that be a smart move?

no, do not replace them with LED's, they can not tolerate the heat. just put in some quality PIAA bulbs.

Well what year headlights is this for??

The bulb size is 168. But 194 will fit in the socket as well. I've picked up some Pilot white LEDs at AdvancedAuto, they tend to go out before the year replacement is up, so I go in store and swap for a new set lol. I've been thinking of getting some online though. This has been covered a many of times before man.

Well the Pilot Bulbs I have don't look like they'd last long anyway(I'm surprised they last a year), at least I can go down the road and get a replacement. Getting a more quality light it shouldn't happen, I think chances are much less with the projector low beam for the 08+ headlights.

I have one of these LED as my parking light, I have 6k low beam HIDs, and they work together really well~ LED should work better than PIAA IMO

Funny, I was wondering the same exact question just today. In fact, that's why I jumped on to SL right now and took this photograph for better clarification.

I think we're in the same boat Munky. I own a 2010 tC and I installed 5k HIDs in my projectors (far right side in picture) and I love them but don't think the large center lamp looks good still stock. A question of my own - There are two bulbs in that large center lamp, is the lower one the low beam light and the upper one the high beam light? Also, what is everyone's thoughts on replacing the center lamp's low beam also with 5k HIDs? I realize that the glare put off from that housing may shine into oncoming driver's eyes but I'm lowered so I don't imagine it would be much of a constant problem, other than changes in incline on the road.

Of course, I wouldn't change the high beam to HID because they're rarely used and when they actually are it is for such a short time it would both damage the HID bulb and not have enough time to heat up enough to show the brightest light.

the light alway to the left is your turn signal the middle big one is your high beam and your one all the way to the right is the low beam projector.
the little LED there talking about is underneath the highbeam there and if your talking about putting a 5k HID in that that would be stupid and prob not possible since they dont make the bulb to fit in there

Was I, or my question rather, just regarded as stupid by someone who made that many grammatical and spelling errors? Not to be a grammar **** but it was really difficult to understand what you were saying. Are you saying that the center bulb in the large center housing is the high beam? What would the angled bulb below it be coined then? That really didn't tell me much about what I asked.

The large center lamp, not the left side small orange turn signal and not the right side projector, has two bulbs in it. One bulb is at the center and the other bulb is in the middle on the lower portion. Which bulb does what? What size are they? Finally, what is recommended to change those from stock to something that would match the 5k HID in the projector better?

Dear the English teacher, that was typed from a all touch screen phone so its difficult at times, thanks for understanding

well not to get in a ____ing battle but if your having this much trouble with some bulbs you probably shouldnt be messing with things because you could simply turn the lights on and see what did what but anyways the big bulb in the middle lamp that your calling the center bulb is your high beam and is a 9006 bulb i think
the little bulb in the bottom center is the driving lamp and the size of it has been posted farther up which is like a 168 i believe they said

Really is it that hard to figure the lights, no one looks at the manual anymore? Turn them on, the orange one is a 7440 for your turn signal, the center light is 9005 for high beam, the little bulb under it is a 168 size bulb/mini lamp(a 194 size bulb fits also, and has better selection of colors, etc.) and the projector is home for the low beam size H11.

There's also the Sylvania light replacement guide.
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

If the results don't show here's the link to search:
http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/

I have not yet tried to get all the lighting to match the HIDs I have.

Parking lights? I've had a blue LED in there for over a year now, works fine. LED's are great for parking lights, so go for it.
