Default The Perfect Scion tC

Ok SL,

I have had my tC for about 8 months now and I have only done a few small mods (i.e Tein S-Tech's, TWM Stage 2 SS). However, after I get back from my vacation, I will begin to save my money, even perhaps pick up a second job, but I have the urge to make my tC perfect in the way I see it.

Here is the list I made up of everything I would like to do to the car to make it, clean, show-able, and have some speed. I do auto-x a few times, and the car has seen the strip so I do drive it.

After reading through my list feel free to chime in about items on the list, whether or not i should add, remove, or change things on the list that would make the car better.

I know it's a lot, but I have a few years to save and do little by little.

Thanks
-BMP08tC-

Don't do the hood pins
Do 18's instead
Don't smoke anything
Get the Basics
Use Greddy Front and Rear strut bars
Consider TurboToyotas instead of Dezod!
Different exhaust

You'll regret the hood pins sooooo much
18's will still get you your performance if you shop properly, and itll look better
Smoking anything is played out
Basics will provide better cornering for AutoX, when adjusted properly
I just think the Greddy's look better
TurboToyota's may lead you to better power
Megan sucks.

once your all said and done, your at between 12 and 15 grand in aftermarket. thats an extremely rough estimate that pulled out of my butt, so dont go crazy on my saying its $12,842.87 not 15k!

so your at close to $30,000 for a tc. sell your car and buy something else lol. you will never see anywhere close to that if you try and sell it. you might see around 17-18.

i put between 7 and 8 into my car after 3 different systems, 2 sets of wheels, and all the other little crap, and im trying to sell mine right now. i wish i would have just bought a better car to begin with. which is what im doing now. 07 g35 sedan on 20s putting my old system in it, and being done with it lol.

but thats just my advice.

If you've really got that much more money you want to put into a car, you'd be pushing into 350Z/RX-8/SKY territory if you just got a different car.

yeah your right, I know it's a lot of money. However, I will have my car for about 6 or so years until i move down to florida so i have about 6 years to get my moneys worth and have a good, show, street, and race car is how i see it. If it were up to me, and i had all this money now, I would have already gotten myself a evo x or g37. but i have to save money every paycheck to get each thing one by one.

thanks for your help though, i do appreciate all the help.

I wish i had a 350 or g35/37 etc.

like the people said before me, if you had 30k or so, get a better car to modify. tC is worth to modify on a small scale say a 1-5grand but once you go past it why don't you just get a better car.

Maybe he wants to build the car rather then having a faster one from the get-go?
And I think smoked turn signals look better.....at least on the right color car

You forgot to mention Ingall's 4-point Rear Brace That makes a Dramtic difference for the Rear End!...

NO overlays!....U need to actually bake-open the headlights and paint or do a Retro-fit Projector's...

The list sounds decent...I wouldnt spend that much $$$ though!!

LOL Thanks Guys A lot for you post.

I am def going to need a couple of jobs, but like some stated I'm not going to save to buy a nicer car, yes a Z or any other car would be awesome out of the box, however, this "dream" tC would walk all over those cars. Plus, im a tuning enthusiast, i don't want stock.

Thanks Again All!

Also, for the few of you that recommended different exhausts, what would you go with? I have searched a few threads and it looks like Megan, HKS, and a few others are really popular.

Thanks Again

LOL Thanks Carbon... no hate here I understand, what would you recommend? I have watched countless videos of tC exhaust's and I thought that the megan sounded the deepest but what do you think i should get then?
