Default Pic Request: Blue Calipers on FM tC

well, i've searched. alot. can't find any pics of an FM tC with blue painted calipers. i'm considering doing it, and i'd like to have a look at it before i do.

i'm leaning towards blue because i want to bring out a bit more of the subtle blue shade in the FM paint. for you FM owners... you know when you look at your car around dusk, or when the sky is kinda overcast, and it has that really sleek gunmetal blue shade to it? well, i LOVE that. that's when i love my car the most, and i'm thinking if i paint my calipers blue (particularly a rich navy blue) it might bring that out some more.

so, please help me find some pics of that. i'd really appreciate it.

I don't have photoshop or much talent but when deciding on the caliper color for me I doodled a little in paint and it wasn't good but gave me an idea, hope this helps.

Here is mine, FM with Blue pained calipers, sorry no wide shot, but got the close up. I'll search and see if i can find something better for you. But you are right, they do look nice with blue, i liked it, and it was the only color other than black to go right with the FM

thanks ragingbull. that gives me somewhat of an idea, though it would really help to see a wideshot. if you find the time to snap one and throw it up that would be great. thanks for the contribution.

yeah i dunno. in my head it looks great. but it's a very particular shade of blue (and not the one in the pic above) and i know i won't be able to find it in a kit. i might experiment with mixing some colors together.

that's the color i want. please excuse the horribly cheesy bass. but i think calipers that color on an FM tc would look sick.

on a side note, i see that ___ you use as your avatar so often that it has become permanently embedded in my memory.

what you will probably need to do is mix the paint to get that shade or close to it.......start with the blue...........and add black to it.........a little goes a long way..........the black will pull in the grey tones into the blue and make it deeper............go to far and they will go purple grey............mix it a bit at a time and make enough to do al four.

also don't forget that it get very warm in that area... get some paint that will stand up to the heat... don't want it peeling off quickly
