Default Plastic parts under the front of the car

If I remove the black plastic panels from the underbody of the front of the car, will this cause any damage to the engine bay or its components (namely the radiator or the engine itself)?

they're there to protect the inner components, why would you want to remove them?

Confuscious say:

You're stupid.

No seriously though, why remove them? weight reduction?

They are there to protect debris and water from going up the engine bay.

well, just make sure your underbody's can take the beating that was supposed to be covered by the plastic parts.

If you remove those parts you leave your engine/radiator/everything in the bay exposed to rock/water and the like. That may void your warranty as well.

yeah ...... dont remove the part ... just drill 2 holes on each end and wire tie them. Thats what i did.. I do mind you that TC wasnt made for underglows. No room in the front what so ever to do so.

^^^ to touch on the previous post... most cars arent' designed for underbody neons (well, none are, in fact). however, there are several ways to install them correctly and still keep the protective plates. As suggested, drilling holes and zip-tieing is a very good method. Just make sure that they are zip-tied to something sturdy (i recommend against the plastic plates). Also, since the tube would be hanging down below the plates you are going to need to design something that will hide the tube (so that the tube itself isn't visible, but rather the glow is). My suggestion is to rig up a plastic or aluminum "L" shaped piece and attach it directly in front of the tube, thus hiding it, but still allowing the glow to reach the ground. hope that helps...

Indeed it did, I ended up just mounting it between where the plastic parts meet the front bumper. It still emits a nice glow, my engine is safe, and the light strip is also protected. Thanks for all the posts guys.
