Default Police / Ambulance Siren Installed [FM tC]

Yep. At the cost of $40 and few hours of frustrating labor.. this project came out nice in the end.

Control Panel [ First two cop siren / ambulance / trucker horn ]

Control Panel wires going to fuse box.

Wires running up driver door wall.

Wires leading to top/front of engine bay.

Siren placed on resting tray under the engine.

Three pairs of nuts/bolts/washers were needed to hold siren in place.

Close up of siren secured in the resting tray under the engine.

I'd be lying if I said this siren was never used as a novelty item. But I never go overboard and try not to cause to much trouble on the streets!

should have taken a little more time on running those wires, the wire in the door jamb will probably get pinched sometime soon if you keep it that way, also cut the bolts that are holding the siren on to the plastic tray, they are going to catch something and you can say bye bye to your siren and plastic tray.

yes, please run the wires through the pedal grommet (plastic rubber around the back of pedal on the firewall) that wire should absolutely no problems going through the hole, my 4 gage amp wire fits so im 100% positive and it will make your install alot cleaner then tape and a wire chilling in your door jam.

How cool is it going to be when you get stoped and have your car impounded?
Stupid move.

Wow, those train horns are great :D Shame the airtank and compressor takes up so much room though.

You can install the set-up underneath the car, so no worries about space.

wow, thats a ghetto install. reminds me of installing systems in friends cars about 5 years ago. we were scared to drill through the firewall and we didn't realize would could poke through a grommet.
man, we used to run wires under the car to the trunk...and in the door like this one, until the tape holding the wire fell off and the wire fell into the hinge, grounded out and blew up the battery...yeah we didn't use fuses either.

oh how i have learned.
good luck with this

i agree with nevergiven, that install is horrible. you really need to clean it up, there is a huge grommet above the brake pedal that you can open a little and put wires through, i fit a 0 gauge and an 8 gauge through it.
for the train horn guy , i have yet to see those horns or hear them, but i have heard a fullsize train horn that was in the back of an s10.. unbelieveable.
dont put it on a tc

It's compact enough you wont see it, and im only going to eventually do it to mess with people. But im sure it would sound identical to your buddies S-10 horn. They sound just like the real thing.

I work as a Valet, and ive seen/heard the different setups. They are just as loud believe me... The customers that have them on their vehicles, though, have them on usually Lifted Silverado's and F-250's.

LOL - pm me some of your personal sound clips. I'd love to hear them.

If hornblasters is still around in a couple years, I may get one installed

I got cut off twice yesterday and my "meep meep" horn doesn't get the message through.
