unfortunatly the states that require front plates will pull you over if it is in the window on your dash! mine came with holes in the bumper, so i just screwed mine in there

^^^ get the bumper plugs and the license plate relocator and u'll be good to go...and its amazing how something that small makes your car look better

and yes it will work w/ the lower 08 grill as that's what i have mine in right now (i had some tellme it wouldn't)
