Default Is it possible to remove my spoiler if ever needed?

I don't know much about cars so I don't know anything about installations, especially. I have a pedestal spoiler and if I ever wanted to take it off, will it leave marks? What do I have to do? Also, is it made to be reinstallable again, meaning I can take it off and put it on as I please?

Any help would be nice.

SORRY TO SAY, BUT YOU BOUGHT IT, YOU GOT IT. THE SPOILER I'M AFRAID, DOES NOT COME OFF. THE tC LOOKS BETTER WITH OUT IT. SORRY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CALL YOUR NEAREST SCION/TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND ASK TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE IN SERVICE OR PARTS.

my lip spoiler was warped, they had to take it off and install a new one...so it is POSSIBLE to take it off, but have it done professional if you ever need to.

They drill holes in the deck lid during installation. You are stuck with it.

Yeah they do drill holes in it the trunk, but you can get in filled in. A Little pricey but it can be done. I had a girl that a sold a car to get in done. Came out just fine.

You should of thought about that before you decided to pay extra for that garbage to be installed on the car. Now you are stuck with a car that looks very very retarded. If you take it off the holes can be filled but will eventually show a difference in wear and tear and you will always see spots later in the car's life. If you don't fill them, the metal that is exposed will start to rust and your whole trunk will start to have rust spots around the drilled holes.

Just slap some dark colored vinyl over the holes and you're set.

You could also replace the entire back door/trunk for the low low price of about $550, unpainted and uninstalled.

You could find somebody with a flint mica tC without a spoiler and switch hatches with them.

my scion dealer told me the spoilers do absolutely nothing, performance wise. if anything, they just add weight, making the performance worse (not by much, of course)

he said, "it's for looks only, and frankly looks dumb" they rarely sell spoilers because it's a huge waste of money

No freakin' wonder! With sales tactics like that I doubt they'd sell any. Honestly, how much weight does that lip spoiler add? A 2-liter bottle of soda probably weighs more. Who cares if someone wants a spoiler, it's their car, let them do what they want.

The guy was asking a simple question, and everyone assumed he is trying to say he hates his spoiler, so everyone flames him for even getting one..

Nice.

I thought he doesn't want the spoiler anymore?

wow I never knew how many ppl hated spoliers. The thing about cars is...you do whatever you want with them, its all about personalization. some ppl like big spoliers, other like small ones, other just hate them. personally i think the TRF prototype "long" lip spolier looks hot on the tC...I wanna get that sooo bad. can't wait

Actually, it was just a thought. tC was geared to have sporty and luxury look. Think of it this way, a stock tC with normal rims, no spoiler:
Luxury--------------tC--------------Sporty

By putting on a spoiler, my tC moves on the spectrum like this:
Luxury--------------------tC--------Sporty

And that was why I was willing to give up a white 2003 Celica GT-S manual, leather int., only 3000k miles, for my tC. $7,000 less, and I could still have a sporty look (with the spoiler). I was just asking, just in case I ever travel, to protect from vandalism, damage, crap like that, etc. What a better way to welcome an out-of-state import car into your town by stomping on his exhaust and bending his spoiler - I've heard it happen before. But hey, it's fine where it is, I love it.

tC <---> M3 did you buy the wrong car? Just like I said: I'm glad people hate the spoiler because I'm the only tC that has it so far in my city. PLEASE KEEP HATING IT SO I STAY UNIQUE!
