Default Possible security flaw with the trunk???

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told the trunk latch does not have a key-hole in the back or a release/open switch by the driver's side. It will only be open when you unlock the car/doors. So if you're driving and don't lock the doors, anyone can walk by and pop open your trunk or is there a separate locking feature?

There's also the issue if you battery dies, you won't be able to open the trunk since it’s electronically operated, but I think this issue was covered before.

why would he jump in the trunk lol , just open a door... every car I ever driven in, that was fully powered, always auto-locked once the key is turn in the ignition.

but if you really want to get technical , I guess anyone can get in your trunk and run off with stuff , when you unlock the doors. but this is true in just about any car...(passenger doors)

One push of the unlock on the key fob unlocks the front door, push it twice and it will unlock the passenger door and the trunk.

Put a Monkey in the trunk a Trunk Monkey I love that commercial.
But seriously i don’t think anyone sees a car they want to jack and says "ok im going in! threw the trunk" they will most likely open a door or bust a window. Although i did notice on my tC that sometimes even with the doors unlocked the trunk wouldn’t open i had to relock them and unlock them again..

thats my only gripe with my tc so far. I was used to the doors automatically locking on my focus and now I have to remember to lock the doors when I get in the car on the tc.

"Boo hooo my doors don't automatically lock when I'm in the car, what am I ever gonna doooo? " Seriously people that's not a big deal at all! Unless you live in Compton or Oakland, I doubt the crime is so bad that you need to keep your doors locked and windows closed all the time! Guess what the car I drive right now doesn't even HAVE power door locks! And my dad's 2001 Accord doesn't either! As long as the doors lock when no one's IN the car, it's all good. :D

thats pretty convient now all the car thief has to do is jump through the hatch with a shotty. I wonder if they just forgot or had to cut it so that the cost of production would be lower. :D
