Default Price Neogotiable?

Is the sticker price neogotiable on the tc?
I'm looking to buy one, in So. Cal and he wanted me to pay $19,900
My brother was able to get his RSX $300 over invoice.

Need advice.

No. I tried very hard, couldn't even get $100 off. They dealers have very good incentive to adhere to the "pure pricing" Scion strategy, so it's understandable. If you'd like more information, try to search for it, as the topic has already been discussed in several threads here at SL.

As for advice, if the tC is at the top of your budget, and you feel you can find a better car for the same $, go for it! I think the tC provides the most value of any 2 door you can get out-the-door for <$20k, but your opinion and budget may differ.

What you need to do is order a tC. You can call the number in my sig if they're giving you greif. I had one dealership brag that they'd sold tC's for 26,000.00, and tell me I'd 'never find a tC for under 19,000.00.'

If that's what's happening, Scion Customer Service will be able to find you a good dealership who understands pure pricing.

I also highly reccomend Power Toyota. Wherever you go, try to talk to an Internet Sales rep or manager. Usually they care less about the selling price of each car because they sell in volume.

^ Not necessarily. We don't know what options that particular car has on it, so it might actually be the correct "pure price". The options I got were TRD springs, Sirius radio and floormats, so my total out-the-door was $18,852.

wow,
the only option i got was a pedestal spoiler and my final price included tax and all, was 19,995

and the sticker price was 17,885 jus like at the other nearby dealers.
maybe it also depends on the dealership and their fees as well as the state u are in for the tax

It is impossible for your OTD price to be 18,852 with those options unless you got the spec t version or you put money down (or trade in).....you do realize OTD includes tax, tag, dealer fee...etc?

I promise that was my OTD price, including tax, title, destination, etc. If you'd like to try and verify it, you're welcome to contact the guy who sold it to me, Rich, at Kearny Mesa Scion. I know that was the OTD total, because I wrote a check for that amount and drove away.

Impossible you say? That's what I paid! Sorry if you let yourself get ripped off.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I had no trade-in, $18,852 was the total OTD cost.

wow, i should have went to that guy, if he's not fired

it is impossible to get that price as the price is "pure"
the only thing i can say is that they miscalculated, or he was nice and gave u a discount or somethin.

cause like i said, the only option i got was pedestal spoiler $3??
my OTD was 19,995, at the pure price of 17,885

taxes, and fees ____ed me

taxes, and fees flipped me
I'll check the paperwork and post an itemized list, such that everyone can see the price I paid adheres to "pure pricing". I may not get around to posting it until Monday, but I'll make it a point to do so.

It sounds like the dealers you guys go to must be tacking on some BS extra "dealer fee", and if so, my dealer didn't screw me over like that.

Well the dealers down here try that all the time. they always have tC's with kaminari kits ONLY and sell tC's for 29,000 dollars, haha. theres the 4000k for the kit, and DEALER (BS) market value adjustment of another 4000k. lol what can they think of next...

Yea, Florida is pretty bad with dealer markup... as an example, Central Florida Scion/Toyota charges a $750 documentation fee!
